The graphics were pretty, but that was it. It was a destiny in 3rd person with a less original premise.

Really, Bioware should've stuck to their strengths. Despite people criticizing derpy faces, they can still make good RPG's. Stick to that. We don't need more shooters, we need RPG's.

Of course, it's possible that this was EA's doing aswell. Either way, i expect this game to flop, Bioware to be downsized and if the next Dragon age is as uninspired as the previous one, i see them closing down. Usual EA fare of running down studios.

I had no expectations and I thought it was fantastic. Not for the shooting. The different armor and abilities is what got me! Graphics are just gravy.

I usually hate it when people say "I never got the appeal of xxx" or "I always thought xxx was overrated" because if usually means the person is just shitting on the company now thaf its socially acceptable... but honestly swear to god Ive just never liked Bioware that much. Ive tried KOTR, ME1, ME3 and DAO. Kotr kind of aged badly. ME1 i played like 10 hours of. It was fun but the combat sucked, the characters were mostly flat and one dimensional, the color wheel was a dumb idea(one of the worst ideas ever) and some choices meant one thing when I thought they meant another. ME3 was kinda ok as a dumb action title but not much else. Dragon Age Origins was fun but I always try to finish it and never cam because theres too much fighting. Pacing is garbage.


Maybe if i finished these games id feel differently, but ive played all of them a very good amount. Tje company id just not that good imo.

Keep in mind i havent even played their infamous titles like DA2 or Andromeda. Im hoping to some day finish DAO and ME1-2

You are absolutely right but these days my mind usually adds atleast 6 months to initial announced dates. 

I don't know about Anthem but the Star Wars MMO BioWare made was excellent in terms of a "single-player" experience.  I loved leveling up and all the player choice it had.  Easily the best MMO I've ever played in terms of making you feel connected to the universe.  The story-telling was really good.  It would be nice if Anthem reached that same level.

I will still buy it on PC and crank up the graphics, even if I only spend time flying around the environments.

Nah, you're definitely not the only one, and it's pretty evident through the posts here that it's not an unheard of view. Personally, I'm not really excited for it either, because I'm not too keen on the online-gameplay aspect of it, and I guess I'm just apprehensive about it in general.

They havent said anything yet about a singleplayer.
