I know what you mean.  In addition to game collecting, I also collect comic books, and history books as well.  Many, many, many of which I have never read (yet?).

Very impressive collection by the way.  When it comes to my own game collecting habits, I do limit myself to what I would like to play (or think I would like before actually playing).  I don't think I could ever attempt a "Complete" collection of any system (unless I won the lottery or something).

Yeah - well, when the Switch came out (and based on the way the industry was talking), I had expected a downward trend in physical vs. digital release. Obviously, that hasn't happened (which is GREAT, mind you!!!!!) and, if anything, seems to have gone the other direction with games that were MEANT to be digital only, finding their way on to cartridge via SuperRareGames and LimitedRunGames (and yes, I did manage to score the Thimbleweed "big box" edition the other day!!!)

I figure, with Year One now 100% complete at this point (and it really is, as the only game I'm missing is Arms and I'm in NO HURRY to get that game - and I'm sure it will be in print forever, and I'll just wait for an eventual discount), I'm going to slow my purchases down a tad. I will still be on the lookout for "collector" or "special" edition games, or any "day 1" or "launch day" special games (as well as the occasional "PAL only" games) - but I'm going to pace myself a bit, as I did get killed on a number of games (like all of the Lego ones!!) where I paid full price and they are nearly GIVING them away now!!  :(

Added yesterday:

World Neverland: Elnea Kingdom

Got the two Clusters...

Update 9:

Yooka Laylee

Update 10:

The Flame in the Flood

Oxenfree

I picked those up in the Holyday sale. Oxenfree was 75% off, couldn't pass that up.

Update 11:

Steam World Dig (digital)

Steam World Dig 2 (digital)

Blossom Tales (digital)

Edit since I'm the last post in the thread currently: Do the Bayonetta games count as third Party? If So:

Bayonetta 1 (digital)

Bayonetta 2 (physical)

I think that's all I bought so far in 2018 as far as thrid party goes...I need a spreadsheet.

I just bought Penny Punching Princess (it finally arrived!) and DOOM, both retail.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

- Nine Parchments
- Steamworld Dig

A handy thing about that publisher is that if you own some of their games others get a discount, so the likes of Frederick or Violett now should be listed as being 33/50% off for you, I think if you buy Frederic 1 first you get 50% off that and then it triggers a discount on the second game which covers the cost of the first one.

It's weird, that publisher drops mostly mediocre games but the ongoing discount for being a "fan" of them has me picking up most of their new titles because of it.

Frederic isn't mediocre btw, it's a very cool little music game, would watch a vid of it on youtube and see what you reckon, works really well once you get your head around it, cute little story as well.

Fancy hearing me on an amateur podcast with friends gushing over one of my favourite games? https://youtu.be/1I7JfMMxhf8

Snake Pass and Don't Knock Twice! Both are pretty decent too.
