I've always felt like that would make some sense at least. Ubi Soft shouldn't be gifted a Mario game just for shits n' giggles. You better be giving back something in order to get a potential long selling IP like Mario + Rabbids.

There was some footage in the background after the trailer. I guess one can't really tell much apart from it, but all in all I find it doubtful they would put that much effort into the CGI trailer for a Switch exclusive.

also talk of online and solo stuff, rather than just solo

that is a worry too, why they feel the need to add multiplayer to almost everything I don't know
