I'm not sure where you are getting that impression from.  Hyrule Warriors has already shown that Nintendo is willing to partner with and allow 3rd parties to use their 1st party IP.  It has nothing to do with testing out multiplat, because a game would have to be, you know, multiplat in order to do that.



So, making an exclusive game is somehow testing the waters for multiplats? How does that make any sense at all?

they have literally been outsourcing their IP to 3rd parties for over 20 years.
