Forums - Sales Discussion - Global software week ending 6th May

The Wii U version of Breath of the Wild outsold the PS4 version of Mass Effect. I don't doubt Andromeda will be remembered as one of the biggest disappointments of the year. :(

Na, I dont see how the PS4 has sold 2 million units in 45 days. THey've had no major releases in the time and the baseline hasnt been as high to achieve 60M yet.

Well they reported 60m shipped as of 31st March. There can't have been that many of those unsold still, the 2.7m difference between VGC's sell through and Sony's shipped seems too high at least.

Would be kinda surprising if their sell through hasn't passed 60m now given that shipment figure.

Why not though? it's just two months passed since that number and there hasnt really been any Systemsellers (allthough Tekken and Injustice could possibly ship some units) and there's always a surplus of stock of the PS4 everywhere you go and while sales have been great pretty much every week there's still room for more sales whenever a new game comes around. Expecting it to hit 60M this month though.

Either way I wouldnt be shocked if it could have passed 60M it was just the addition of definately that made me react, if it has passed 60 - it's not by a huge margin.

another amazing week for Nintendo!

So Prey bombed? Not surprised, it looks way too weird for mainstream shooter fans.

I have a question that's been bothering me for month's now.

Ps4'd total software has been around 380-386mill for months now....soo weird.

Ps4 beasting continues on the software front!

In Japan 9/10 are nintendo stuff. Nintendomination!

Impressive numbers for Zelda and MK8DX! I wish I could find a Switch, in Spain it's imposible to get one.

No surprises no Mario Kart's success but half a million of 1-2 Switch sold!

Some people have more money than sense.

How well did Singstar do in it's heyday? Buzz? Just Dance?

Just like 1-2 Switch, these are the kind of games that attract pure casuals who just want to have some fun with friends when having a party or just being drunk enough. They are not meant for gamers like us, but for people who normally don't play videogames (outside of Smartphone and/or Facebook) but want to have some fun with friends when they come to visit.

Without Singstar, the PS2 wouldn't even have come close to 150M, without the Wii series, the Wii wouldn't have come close to 100M and without 1-2 Switch, the Switch wouldn't have had such a great start
