I was going to say that this is what I predicted but I realized that I never submitted that post on the Pokemon direct thread. It's good to me that we won't be getting a mainline Pokemon on the Switch until next year at the earliest because the lineup so far can hold down the fort until Pokemon comes next year (at the earliest) and there are no longer supply constraints. What's the use of having a mainline Switch Pokemon if Nintendo can't meet the supply demands for it? Anyway, I'm just happy that I won't have to hear or read about that 'Pokemon Stars' rumor anymore that the rumor pushers on twitter have been singing about since last year.

Also, with all the competitive games the Switch is getting, Nintendo can probably host a 'Nintendo World Championships' before E3 for a while to drive up hype.

Well they always release new Pokemon games every year for the most part, bit late to be surprised now, and we don't even know how far an alternate story could go, it could very well be even better than a sequel, it could still be a different time, a different area, so I think it's too soon to judge since we've barely seen the game yet.

It's probably too soon to think Game Freak can make a quick 8-12 month turnover to HD right away. Sure MHXX is doing it, but Capcom has experience with HD before with MH3U. Plus, it's Game Freak's pattern in terms of releasing games on old consoles before transitioning to new ones. Remember B2/W2? Released within the launch year of the 3DS and X/Y released in 2013.

Anyway, I didn't mind the direct. I like Pokken and it's nice it's being upgraded with new features and all the Arcade-only extra fighters along with Decidueye, one of my new favorites in the franchise. Plus I get to replay Gold again since my original's cartridge battery recently died, losing all of my 6x HOF status ;_;.

Very unexcited for Pokkén Tournament DX. As for Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, im kinda skeptical, if they are sequels like B2 and W2 im interested, but if not, im out. I personally was very underwhelmed by Sun and Moon so im on the fence with these.

Maybe, not anytime soon though.
