No its not. If we want the game to be the best it can be, we should advocate for Takahashi to work on it. The only reason why the first version was as gimped as it was, was because of Square's budget constraints imposed on the title. Discs 2-4 would've been a reality otherwise, and the second disc wound't have been a long cutscene monologue.

Oh I thought it was a remaster like the FFVII that's on PSN for PS4 too but I guess that's not a remaster either.

Either way no...I dont want a remaster of FFVIII or FFIX.  They deserve full remake like FF7 :)

They really don't need to be remade. They come from the PS1 era so they need some serious polishing but there is nothing wrong with the gameplay in FFIX. They could revamp the ability system in FFVIII but it's fine as a game.

I mean imagine Tetra Master with shiny HD card art and cool effects.

I want VIII and especially IX remastered, NOT remade.

VII, VIII, IX, X and XII all on the PS4.

Also throw in that XIII lightning collection because why the hell not, 3 cases for XIII and it's sequels feels a bit too much, i'd love to have them all in one disc.

Xenogears would require much more than a remaster, unless they'd want to do as they did with the FFVII port and not really change much.

isnt xenogears a playstation exclusive? if so why would the remake be a switch exclusive when the majority of fans are ps4 owners.

The better question would be why care about where a game released nearly 30 years ago (more than if we factor in when this game would actually release). It could release on Xbone Scorpio and I wouldn't care. Just do it!

For instance wasn't Shemnue a Sega console and Xbox 360 game? Now PS is getting the next one but who cares?
