But that's the data for April not June, Ps4 didn't sold 7m in that period of time.

How much do you think the Switch sells in May?

I don't know tbh

Id "guess" like 1.5m (last weeks sales of like 360k ww x 4)

Which would put it at something like this for the year (upto june):

Switch - almost 5m.

PS4 - abit over 7m.

That's great considering stock supply issues, Switch could end up getting the lead in holidays if there were enough Switchs available, but that's gonna be really hard to do.

I think Switch, PS4's exclusives line-up looks pretty weak(yet again) plus XB1X might eat away some sales on the multi-platform front. Supply and bundles will play a key role though.

Even with unlimited stock posting a 17m+ first year is nigh impossible, so I think it'd be unlikely still. Even the DS only managed 10m and the Wii 16.5m, in their first FULL calendar years.

It's not been done in recent memory, if ever.

360 - 6.8m
DS - 10m
Wii - 16.5m
PS4 - 14.5m
PS3 - 7.9m
PSP - 9.6m

Its going to tough I think... because it appears that now (june) the PS4 is out selling the Switch (gamestop/amazon lists ect).

The same conjecture as saying Nintendo can produce and ship more than 10 million units in 2017.

Uh, that's not conjecture.  That's an actual plan.  And the production was just increased to 18 million during the fiscal year.

Conjecture is basically a hunch based on limited data.

Looks like his conjecture was correct.

Yes, there are millions and millions who call themselves Switch owners. Over ten million.
