Bahahaha wishful thinking right there. If its on Win Store ill be happy just for that.

Well Halo Wars Definitive Edition ended up on Steam so it's certainly not impossible!

Yes however Halo Wars DE is dead. Its there way of regenerating money and putting something on life support. Hence why you never see big selling games on Steam from MS.

No! You have to laugh as if it could never happen! There's no way Halo would be sold outside of Microsofts Own Store! LAUGH!

Bahahaha! All Hail Microsoft!

*Sweeps Ori, Halo Wars, Quantum Break, Spartan Assualt, Spartan Strike & State of Decay, under the rug*

You clearly dont see the pattern which is understandable. I dont expect many on this site to understand. Ill help you. Reason for those games being on Steam is based on there low sales. MS bring games to Steam as life support to keep something dead alive. Unfortunately for you, Halo MCC and Halo 5 sold quite well so expect Windows Store announcements at best ;)

Dont be mad, the wait for you to finially play Halo might come true if you have a nice PC. Just keep praying to the gods and it might finially happen.

Yes Steam is simply life support, TRUE MS games will never be on filthy steam, only real MS fans will get to play them. HAIL MICROSOFT!

He's sorta right though.  That's why Forza Horizon 3/Apex and Gears 4/UE aren't on steam.

Well I'd say Forza and Gears not being on steam is down to Play Anywhere, and Cross-Platform play.

So yeah from that perspective there's a good chance Halo 6 won't be on steam, because there it wouldn't be able to take advantage of being part of Xbox Live.

It was actually the missing part of the MCC puzzle. It was pretty much common sense for Microsoft that they would fill in the gaps with Halo 3 after Halo 2. They dont have much else  to offer outside of the usual names, so putting maximum effort into the big three is all they can do. The whole time that I played Halo 3, I was wondering about Halo 3 remastered like Halo 2. It was a letdown to experience decreased visuals after the previous game was so beautiful.

If this is a common sentiment among Halo fans, then fair enough.

Though it would be really better suited as an Update or DLC to MCC rather then a $40-$60 game.

The games already on the system, shouldn't have to pay much just for better assets and shaders added to it.

A perfect dark game with some of the folk from rare.

People expecting Halo 3 Anniversary are most likely going to be disappointed. 343 has said in the past that Halo 3 wouldn't be getting the Anniversary treatment because it's only 1 generation old and already in Halo MCC. The "little something" is most likely DLC for Halo Wars 2 and a 4K Scorpio Patch for Halo 5, and if we're incredibly lucky, a story expansion (possibly standalone) for Halo 5.

Halo: Combat Evolved was only a single generation old when it got remastered.

The Master Chief Collection was a bug ridden mess.
Halo 3 in the MCC didn't get overhauled. A resolution, framerate bump and a new lighting system was it. They couldn't even add decent texture filtering and anti-aliasing.
It would have looked better if they released it on PC.

Some of those games have seperate multiplayer communities, one on the Windows Store and one on Steam. The Steam players aren't adding into the Windows Store populations.
Secondly. All games sold in the Windows Store have done poorly verses Steam.

Halo the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 had their own issues. They also haven't done as well in terms of copies sold as other mainline releases.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection almost has a non-existent multiplayer community. (At-least in Oceania.)

Halo will come to the PC. All of them. It's not a matter of "if" it is a matter of "when". - And there is nothing Microsoft can do about it.

Don't really know why so many people are clamouring for a Halo 3 & ODST remaster when they're both included in MCC anyway. If anything they could just release a graphics update for MCC.

Halo 6 should launch next year, not sure why I was expecting it to be at E3 this year, though announcing a mainline halo just over a year in advance probably isn't too long.

Playing Halo 2 remastered felt like playing a new game. With the cinematics from Blur Studios, it seemed closer to Halo 4 than 3. 3 would fill in the gap and being that it was considered the best Halo ever, then this should be bigger news than Halo six quite frankly.

If Halo 3 anniversary edition doesnt show up at E3 boy is Microsofts E3 going to be mediocre. Forza, Crackdown and State of Decay isnt much of an argument for your relevance when Sony and Nintendo show off their stuff.

You forget too that the scenes are all redone by blur studios as well. That game could be a showpiece of the scorpio if its as detailed as Halo 5 and optimized in 4k 30fps.
