wow I've read some weird stuff on this site but this...yeah i won't even bother.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

My dismissal of it is fine because a mesh like climbing surface is very different to that of a ladders design, one you're climbing up in a rock climbing like manner the other you're ascending in a step like motion which is far easier.

To me it seems you're more trying to nit pick especially as you compared it to gliding and all.

and to me it seems youre unable to accept any criticism what so ever about games you like.

I'm fine with criticism I just think really poor criticism with no foundation that tries to reach like with the ladder complaint should not even be considered as such.

i look forward to the day games such as this can be logically discussed without all the knee jerk defense mechanisms kicking in like they did back when ocarina of time released

Well, opinions. Personally it has been probably the best experience I have ever had with any game, and that doesn't have anything to do with Zelda, in fact the game feels nothing like the usual Zelda games, it could be called "The Adventure of Bobokun" and it would still be the same complete masterpiece in my eyes.

i believe in that instance it was the AA's that gave up first.

Sounds you were enjoying yourself!

nah, wasted most of my batteries playing metroid 2 return of samus, that game was the shit

Agree with a lot of what the OP says. Not everything but fine criticism.

Also... Why the flippity fuck are people losing shit about goddamn ladders?! Out of everything said... you guys lose your shit over ladders XD there are better things you could criticize in the OP, but ladders... ladders... Oi, this site confuses me sometimes

It's a 9/10 for me, too many small problems keep it from being a 10. But well, it's a huge open world game, it's quite amazing that they manage to not screw everything up.

thank you, its posts like this that make me glad to have invested the time into the game, as ive stated i am biased against zelda on account of never really enjoying the series before, and ive been honest and open about that, ive also stated that i was wrong in my opinion of the game and that i enjoyed it despite the parts i see as flaws, but thank you for seeing that its simply down to opinion rather than as others see to be taking it, as an attack on a game they like, because its not at all.

Even if they simply made the stamina deplete for ladders slower than performing other actions, it would at least have felt consistent.

I'm pretty sure it does deplete at different speeds. Every when climbing, the steeper something is, the faster it drops. Jumping while climbing depletes it super fast. Gliding depletes it slowly, etc.

Again, I'll say I respect your gripes and I admit I love the series. Don't want you to feel like I'm attacking you.
