A big chunk of Muslims believe listening to musical instruments is punishable sin. There is no way around that one for them

A big chunk? Have you taken a poll on Muslims? I've never met one who didnt listen music.

Hell I'm listening to Pussy Money Weed from Lil Wayne right now.

Eh. Of course they listen to music, it doesn't mean they think it's OK to listen to music. A sin isn't something you can't do, it's something you shouldn't do.

... Lil Wayne? terrible taste

Muslims who play video games, party drink and affiliate with other people are passive followers of the muslim faith.

They obviously won't play a game like Dead or alive Xtreme for clear reasons. Playing Mario however won't banish you to hell.

All of the Muslims I see in Palestine love video games (Counterstrike is popular there too). Only reason you won't see them on PS4 or XB1 is because they can barely afford a PS3. a ps4 would destroy their wallet

That's not true.  On ps4 on the games I play online,  gta V, rocket league,  rainbow 6, battlefield 4 after a certain time the servers are literally over run by Arabs.  And it's easy to tell because for some reason most Arabs but their name and/or country in their psn id.  Ahmed,  Muhammed,  amir etc etc I nearly know all Arab names by heart.  And you see a ton of KSA,  UAE,  etc in their ids.

So a shit ton of Muslims can definitely afford a ps4, PS plus and they play this platform in their droves.  They are also the section of online gamers that annoy me the least online so the more of them online the better.

Difference between Palestine and UAE :P

won't lie though- when I played CS in the ME, it can get rather hectic. Surprisingly good players from as low as 8 years

Hello Kerotan.

The main problem is "Time", I have been thought that I will be asked about the time I have spent in my life and what did I do with the life that I was given by God on judgement day.

How time is being managed?

There is a saying in my religion "Work for your worldly life as if you are living forever, and work for your Hereafter as if you are dying tomorrow".

Greek gods, alcohol, norse gods or rival gods has nothing to do with it, and it is not a sensitive issue at all, There is only one Creator.

Then comes other things including, but not limited to (nudity, cursing) which is a big problem.

That is all I can think of at the moment, and by the way I am a Sunni Muslim/console gamer.

Thanks brother!  Love getting insights from actual Muslims who understand the issues first hand.

You are always welcome Kerotan and I am always happy to help.

I don't worship Thor or Ares but I can still appreciate the artwork and gameplay.
I don't worship Allah either but Islamic artwork can be quite beautiful.
The dogma of any religion supresses people for power of the leaders. Islam is the worst set of bad ideas that people blindly follow, not unlike Christianity was many centuries ago. The only difference is that Christianity was REFORMED whereas Islam is still stuck in its archaic state. I feel sorry for the majority of Muslims who are repressed by their religion.

You really have no clue about Islam or Muslims beyond what you see on TV, do you?

1. Allah = "The God" (al = the, lah = god) and is literally the same God as Jews / Christians worship. You may disagree on rules, etc (as you do with Jews as well) but you are worshipping Allah as well as other more Christian centric ideas.

2. Islam is not "still stuck in its arcaic state". Islamic ideas, freedoms, science and practices during Christian worlds Dark Ages is one of the foundational reasons Christianity was reformed and found its Renaissance (see history of Islamic Empire and especially Spain). The countries where Islamic tradition have been forced into a more brutal, extreamist view of the world only became a thing in the 1700's with the rise of Wahhabism (originating in Saudi). For the 1,000 years before that, Islam had many instances of what we'd consider freedom of religion, science, social justice, etc.  Aside from Wahhabism, the other big shift was largely the fault of Western powers and their push for imperialism and colonialism. That drove many Islamic nations to be as anti-west as they could be and that meant further divide in the form of religious adherence.

3. You are right that Islam needs a reformation. It needs strong guidance to undo the impact of extreamism and anti-west influences. But none of that is due any fault at the root of the Qur'ans teachings - just as the Dark Ages were not caused by the root of the Bible's teachings. They are both the result of men forcing their power and personal / twisted thoughts on others.

4. I don't think its accurate to say anyone is repressed by their religion. That is a falsehood taught by western media. However, a large number of people are repressed by their nation's leadership, including religious leadership who is pushing extreamism. Muslims who leave these nations do not have this issue, demonstrating it is not "their religion" but their social acceptance of Wahhabism.

Awww man that cracked me up

Thought you were going to ask if Muslims would oppose the idea of games being based on Arabic mythology. That would have been more interesting.

The answer to your question is no and yes. No because some Muslims can be rational and enjoy good games. Yes because some Muslims are afraid of everything they don't understand. They yelled at games like God of War for a bit but they eventually forget about them in a few months.

.- -... -.-. -..

Normal Muslim is just normal plain boring like everyone else, but Fanatic Muslims are da bomb.

Lol people are so used to the western way of thinking until they realize it was people from the Muslim regions who introduced them to mass advanced thinking. im sure they have games.
