Also, how long will the PS3 take to get to $250? Thi year the Wii will sell more than 40 mil total. 2009 it will be more than 60 mil total. Maybe eben nearing 70 mil if production increases in which case the Wii will be WAAAY to far for the PS3 to catch up by then.


Your still forgetting something soriku, humans are not machines, they arent going to buy it at a trend and certain pattern, if people want it they will buy it, but I just dont think 60-70million people want the wii right now. Also, Im not saying the PS3 will be $249 this year, Im just saying if it were at that price currently the situation would be much different. I also dont think wii will sell 40 million this year, thats all I have to say.

No because no nintendo console has ever sold past 60 million.

until the PS2 no sony Console had sold 100mil, precedent has to be set sooner or later, history doesn't repeat itself exactly the same way every time, lest nothing new would ever happen.

And if the Xbox360 was 100 dollars and came with 5 games with free online it would be winning now, but it's not. Alot of what ifs don't matter.

trust me poeple will not just stop buying wiis like that wii will sell about 20 million for another 2 years because parents will want to buy their little kids a wii because it has a lot of e rated games

Really? So because no other home console made by the nintendo has done it, none in the future can? That's some silly thinking. The NES sold 62mil to a rather small group of gamers in the 80's and early 90's. Surely you don't think things exist in a static?

I mean it's not like we've seen demand for a home console at these levels before. So why wouldn't this console with unprecedented amount of demand from consumers be able to sell that much, if other home consoles can?

I've read a lot of ridiculous reasons why the wii won't do well, but your reason tops them all I think. I'm really not sure how some of you people get such strange thoughts in your heads. Quit drinking the punch already.

i still don't know how nintendo fanboys count sony out of thi gen so early, ..........do u guys not remember how sony kicked nintendo's butt the last two generations.......the wii is going strong but sony isn't dead

The Wii will win why because now everyone can understand that the wii is not really competing with the PS360 it does only complete them that's why Nintendo wins and will win.
