Since the first Zelda The Sandy terrain you find south of death montain in Zelda 2? That's where Zelda 1 took place. Now take that Zelda 2 map, cut away everything south of death mountain and the second continent, rotate clockwise by 130° and you'll have a map similar to the one of aLttP To explain: Death mountain is then to the north instead of south, the lost woods are where you found Bagu in the Zelda 2, Northern Palace is Hyrule Castle, the cave where you found the water of life in Tantari desert is where Zora lives or the eastern palace, parapa palace is the desert palace, Swamp ruins is the second palace. Only Kakariko village would be totally missing, but that one could have been razed/abandoned during Ganon's return. Just compare and argue for yourself If you don't believe it, you can always take this into your headcanon: |
Awesome! I didn't play anything before OOT, so I didn't know some of these.

If only Ragnarok Journey was like This kind of game, then maybe, maybe I wouldn't be standing anymore from my desk T^T
Bit of a stretch to suggest lttp was the source of BotW considering many Zelda maps have similar Hyrules, it's not surprising that some of Hyrule matches that map, but a lot of adjustments had to be made to make it fit that guy's model. Some of the stuff equals Ocarina of Time as well.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
Now, the question is, where is Hyrule? In the one interview where they ask multiple questions to Miyamoto, he says that it takes place on Earth. So, that makes me wonder where on Earth it is, and when?
That's pretty awesome. main thing is Breath of the wild has a compass point map as it there is clearly a North on it presumably using a magnetic north type idea, that shouldn't change so I'm just wondering has there been compass points used in previous games? since hadn't people consider West to just be to the left of the map and North to be at the top of it? It would have to have stated North South East and West but those points shouldn't change unless the land mass somehow rotated after the great flood of Windwaker? as in... there was land, windwakers flood happened and the land mass rotated under the sea currents?
