For me, it was surprising that Nintendo did not bring any of their handheld IPs to the Switch. Obviously, it is still early and that could still be their game plan.  I, personally, was mostly disappointed when the Fire Emblem game coming to the switch was Warriors style game.

Edit: apparently I somehow missed the annoucement of a mainline Fire Emblem game for Switch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a traditional FIre Emblem game was announced right? To come out next year? Also give the Switch more time, I'm certain more of the 'handheld IPs' will come, for example, Pokemon.

Well, they kinda are, arent they? They are releasing a Fire Emblem, and - presumably - Pokemon Stars and a new Monster Hunter.

calm down Kiddo a traditional fire emblem will come in 2018

Eh...my bad....how the heck did I miss that. Although, Fire Emblem has already been on home consoles. What about other handheld IPs.

Really?? This question?? Isn't the Switch a handheld??? Of course they are bringing their "handheld IP's" to the Switch. Aren't they already working on a Pokemon game?

The Switch is a handheld so I'd say so.

Nintendo said it is a home console "first and foremost."  When they introduced the Switch, they focused on console games. I don't remember them announcing a Pokemon game for the Switch, I think that was leaked.

I mostly bring it up cause my buddy at work says no way they take away from their 3DS market. I was just surprised they didn't market towards those titles.

Like others have said, a mainline Fire Emblem is set for next year.

Outside of that just wait, Switch has only been out for 3 weeks and E3 is in a couple months.

Nintendo currently has close to a dozen 1st party titles announced for Switch, we cant really expect them to blow their load and announce everything they have planned for the next few years.
