It seems too weak to last very long. Scorpio and PS5 will come. Switch is weaker than a regular XB1. Too many major 3rd parties will not release big games on Switch. Smart phones keep getting more powerful and will please the casual gamers. I suspect sales will dwindle badly within 2 years at the longest. I think the only reason it is doing so well is that the Nintendo megafans, new tech buyers, and casuals--with disposable income--looking for something original are buying them up. Once these buyers are satisfied, I predict things will go downhill for sales.

Because, too many ppl are talking about the Switch's amazing success and how production will double and how GameStop thinks it could beat Wii. They are jumping the gun!

It's really hard for me not to double down because I love trolling nintendo fans, but the switch's failures just hits them so hard that I just can't do it. I won't talk about zelda's graphics, lack of titles, disney collection or any future third party games. It was funny before because there was always hope that nintendo would turn it around next time, but this is suicide watch type stuff. ;)

I agree that people are jumping the gun on the Switch's success. But by saying this thread is made because of that, aren't you admitting this is a retaliation thread?

Casuals who don't have gaming as a hobby are the only really unpredictable factor. Something can go viral at the drop of a hat if friends show it to friends who then show it to more friends who then share it all over social media so that the friends who got left out want to be cool, too, so they also buy it.

It would take a lot to move the needle now, though. I was at a get-together Saturday night where I looked up and pretty much everyone was in their own little portable world with their smart-phones. Stupid, squishy mobile game noises filled the room. That's what the Switch has to compete with now.
