I'm getting this. I'm very curious about the zodiac changes.

Not getting that CE though. $200 is crazy.

I just pre ordered the collector's :)

The regular edition is fine enough for me.

Sadly I dislike ordering off the Square Enix store site for their site exclusive collectors edition.

Cool. If they were figurines instead of statues I may have as well. My first thought was "where would I put these".

Give me one good Figure like FF15 and I would get the CE.

Im a sucker for exclusive content :P Noctis was sold separately so i didn't have to get the collector's to obtain the kai art. These statues are exclusive and will only be accessible if you buy the collector's.

The way i see it is its $60 for the game, $5 for the steel case, $5 for the cards, $30 for the soundtrack and $20 for each figurine. It's seems fair to me. It even has some dlc music which i don't think adds value.

There was a Turbo mode in the International version? I thought that was new for Zodiac Age.
And how was International worse than the original exactly?

The main problem of International version is the job system; you're required to pick a job for your characters. This job cannot be changed, so once you've chosen a profession for one of the characters, it's stuck with that one for the rest of the game.

What comes from this is the fact that you won't be able to choose all the professions in the game (multiple playthroughs are required, and even then you'll have to leave behind several professions each time as you can only pick up to six), so making a mistake when chosing or something like that can totally destroy your playthrough for the reminder of the game.

This creates another problem: License Boards. Unlike the original game, each job has its own license board, only available for the people who has taken that license board in particular. Here's one big problem, though: you can't unlock everything from any license board, as it requires an unspecified path to choose from when grabbing certain Quickenings and Summons (which forfeit other paths or random tiles in your way). Now this might not seem that much of a loss...but then there are professions that have their best weapons or such things locked behind specific tiles that can be lost forever (Ranger can lose access to his best weapon if someone else from a different job picks a specific Summon, for example). It's obnoxious and pretty weird.

I don't mean this as discouraging. The game is very fun, still. But it really makes you wish for job swaps or something like that. I got Penello in my party for the whole game because she was the only one who could consistently cast White Magick (There's two other jobs that somehow get access to some white magick, but it's pretty weak either way). Instead of the versatile license board of the original, this one has too many fixed goals and whatnots that screw up the experience a bit, at least in my eyes.

What do you mean by 'unspecified path'? Does it get randomly generated as you proceede to unlock things on it?

As for the second bolded part, do you mean that if you unlock the tile at the top right with Fran as a Ranger, the top right tile will become unavailable on Penelo's White Mage path?

No, the table itself is fixed. However, the Quickenings and Summons you have to choose for certain tiles to be unlocked is unknown. Either I failed to acknowledge the game telling me some sort of path or it's left for a guide to follow.

No, again, because the tables themselves change (They don't have the same pattern, they emulate the zodiac sign they are) per profession. However, Summon placement (unique for each job, but only one person can pick one specific summon for the whole game) might dictate a certain path you can or cannot take. If some other character has already taken that summon, it means you can't access that specific place. I mean, it's not much, just like two or three tiles, but still, some jobs have some nice things hidding behind those. Pick them up with the incorrect character or job and it's lost forever to someone else.

This available in the UK? can't seem to see it anywhere. But alas, it might be too much or me, £30 for the main game seems good enough, well maybe the stealbook at least.

Hmm, pie.

Steelbook option for me. Will probably just print off a custom cover to put in extra case for display purposes.

Got the steel book.
