Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda BotW Screenshot thread

Like the title says, post your screenshots here. Try to avoid obvious spoilers for now, but don't hesitate to show the good parts.

The Switch has a little square button on the left joy-con to take a screenshot, which ends up in the album in the main menu. From there you can copy it to an sd card or post to facebook or twitter.

On thw WiiU it's the home button

The game is so addictive I haven't taken many screenshots yet.

Here's some from portable mode:

Love the second one, the other two looks like someone made a picture with one random bad looking filter =p

And these are while docked

The game looks best when it's early in the morning. In-game I mean, it's all colorful and full of high contrast and shadow.

Possible spoilers, I haven't embedded the last one on purpose as it's a story character but I like the Ghibli like artstyle.

I got these off of Miiverse, so they were compressed a bit. (Pretty sure Miiverse does that)

I call this The Legend of Zelda: Skyrim.

And a cute doggo.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Sorry for triple post buy is it really as washed out as it seems when in motion in videos? is it motion lighting or are they going for that "Tlg" feel...? Maybe people are streaming and recording with settings that don't give the best impression? thoughts?

It looked a bit washed out. Then I turned "hdmi low" option on my TV and game magically start looking much better, with better black and contrast. WiiU version.

The game defaults to limited RGB which it saves the screenshots in as well. You're looking at it on a full RGB screen I assume, any laptop or monitor and probably phones as well (not sure). I'll try to switch it to full RGB again tonight. I'm not sure if the game actually does full RGB right as it looks better on my projector when I set both to limited range.

Anyway the screenshots posted are in 16-240 brightness range instead of 0-255, so a bit washed out. The game itself also favors the upper brightness ranges as opposed to most games that dominate the lower brightness range. You might have to adjust gamma or brightness and contrast a bit on your tv to get the best out of it. Maye dungeons are darker, haven't found one yet. Shrines are very bright inside too.

Can't wait to get to Koriko village myself or wherever that is :) However my real dog needs a walk, sun is out, time to head into the real snowy forest before continueing in the virtual one. That dog looks cuter though, mine doesn't know how to roll over, only how to roll in various crap.

Tagging for later
