Yes, best to return it in that case.. if you try to connect to the internet with it modded, the system will brick and you won't be able to use it at all

Really disappointing, hopefully you can get a proper 3DS D:

If there's one game i want every 3ds owner to try, it's super mario 3d land. Even if platforming is not your fave genre, you most likely will have fun with this one

I hacked 3DS is nothing to worry about. It's even a good thing. There's tons of good homebrew out there plus you don't have region lock anymore. I'm not even talking about piracy, screw that, you don't need piracy, but keep the hacked 3DS. You can upgrade the firmware just fine, you don't have to worry about going online, Nintendo can't tell if you're on a modded system or not. Plus a softmod is perfectly legal anyway.

It's all good.

Get DQ 7/8. 7 is a straight up remake that is much more user friendly than the original. You would not like the original

It doesn't seem to let me download things to the card, and when trying to do so, it got corrupted, and the system wouldn't even turn on with the card inside, the system would go black, and trying to update the system with the card on, even with no updates available, made it happen as well (as I would restart).

After formating the card it was running well, turning on right, but I'm not feeling well about it.

Do I really have nothing to worry about? It get banned online, or even bricked?

Ban, unban is very easily with a modded 3DS

Well, that's certainly weird. Don't know what's going on in your particular case. Could be problems with the SD card, could be a bad hack. But I myself don't have any problems at all. The system works like a breeze, I never got banned or anything. I can play online without problems, I play loads and loads of homebrew and I have a truckload of emulated games on the system. I'm loving it. I only have one single problem and that is that The Binding of Isaac Rebirth doesn't want to update. I don't think that problem is because of my custom firmware though as every other game works fine.

Edit: messing up with it and had several problems, had a sytem format and a sd format, booted a mod called Luma3DS... I asked the guy if it was modded and he said it wasn't... I'm probably going to return it tomorrow, gladly the guy lives tqo steps away.

Anyway, do you think it's ok to have a modded 3DS or can I get in trouble? I plan on only buying original games, so I don't want to take any unnecessary risks with it.

Not to self: Keep being as suspicious as you were and don't ever buy an used system again *sigh*, I knew it was too good to be true.

Xenoblade and force switch to Nintendo Switch for Xenoblade 2 ? :p
