I have planted a Pitanga Tree. Have ever had pitanga?

The house I built last year has a 1470m2 yard in it, and I am planting around 2 new fruit trees every month, so I can have, in 2 or 3 years, around 30 fruit trees in the house.

I have 12 so far, lemon, orange, apple, goiaba, peachs, figs, kiwi and mango.

My last was this awesome Pitanga Tree, I have made a video of the work:

It wasn´t easy cause I am really really sick (flu).

So, have you guys ever tried pitanga? It is really good, specially in juice form.

I think planting fruit trees, if you have the space, is a vey smart idea: you attract birds, have tons of fruit and also, it looks anf feels great to have trees around the house.

I do not consider myself a prepper, but I think it also good in case we get into a crisis: fruit can be used as food, source of water and as money.

Ha, sounds like you're making a garden of Eden for yourself. I've never planted a tree, but I have grown a number of vegetables and peppers. What does this pitanga fruit taste like?

I hate gardening. Use to have to water my father's plants, and one day ran into a wasp nest. Lets just say it didn't end well...

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I could use some vegetables around here, good idea!

Pitanga is really small, like a berry, but it tastes citric though it is kinda sweet, like a berry mixed with lemon.

In juice form it tastes like heaven =)

Oh, sounds like a nightmare. I hate wasps as well, but we do not have many around here.

I had a bee nest in the lot, but I guy from a honey factory came and took them for me.

Never tried it. I dont have the patience for gardening, but my family has 8000 acres garden full of mango and rose apple trees. There's no such thing like too many mangoes for me

I helped with a rhubarb patch as a kid and we used to go out and pick wild gooseberries. I really want to go back to my familys ancestral land and plant some there. My favorite berry.

Must be really beautiful, all those apple and mago trees. Love mango, specially ice cold, to eat with a knife and fork, like a dessert.

Sounds right up my alley. I doubt they would grow around here though.

I think the only time I have seen this is at stores in Illinois and we call it pumpkins on a vine.
