Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Mario Sports: Superstars launches March 30 in Japan

I'm still baffled that a game like this never came to the Wii.

We got Wii sports, which was a huge success, yet were essentially mini games of said sports.

Constantly waited around for the inevitable Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario boxing (Arms), or you know a full game that was fun and would let you customize characters, build stats, get skills, ect. Full courses, tournaments, ect.

But no, we sat with Wii Sports.

Hopefully with Joycons, we finally get some of these sports games.

I really hope this gets ported to the Switch since it interests me, but I doubt it. Would be awesome to play this game in HD, not the nasty 3DS graphics.

Have you tried Mario Sports Mix - that one with Namco characters? It has four games: hockey, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball

I personally loved that game, it has decent content and is a lot of fun on multiplayer . If I´m not mistaken, it´s on the WiiU VC too.

It features volleyball, hockey, dodgeball, and basketball.

Hardly the games I wanted. I want games that use the wiimote the best. You know games like Tennis, Bowling, Golf.

But regardless, the Wii came out in 2006. Why the heck did it take 5 years for that game to come out in 2011?

I'm lowkey interested in this game, too bad I won't be able to play it.

I would like to see a new strikers for Switch.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
