I think they will add achievements when people will stop caring about them.

I really don't like achievements at all, but even I know that this is a bad decision from Nintendo... Just do it already, you even have paid online, give the people what they want for once... They are just annoying, narrowminded jerks.

Yes adding more options or added content is people being narrowminded.. Most see achievements as added quests or close too, How can you not, it makes you do many things you would have never, just because many are lazy gamers and don't care to play the game to it's full potential doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

I don't see your disclaimer. Mind posting your sources? You know, a link to your source?

Because "random sites" is worth nothing for that claim you did.

I said it could go anyway, meaning that's my disclaimer, Generally them not focusing on it or using it to show they are adding to a system is a pretty good sign they are not going to have Achievements. http://culturedvultures.com/nintendo-switch-achievements-trophies/

Change your thread title please. You are making a claim. Nintendo has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of an achievement system on the switch.

Speculating if it will have one is a complete different matter.

Edit: Thank you.

Why are a big portion of Nintendo fans so heated about added content majority of gamer's love? This is a fact, you are the minority on this view. Everyone loves achievements.

We add miiverse stickers with the WiiU ^^ It was kind of a first step, maybe they'll finally make the jump this time.

And I hope they make it at launch, It's always stupid when an important feature is not ready at launch, like for exemple, the internet browser....

I like achievements too. For a lot of players, it adds depth, challenges and replayability. It's just an in thing these days Nintendo. You've done payed online... Just do it. It'll help the people that want it and those that don't can simply ignore it.

I was a trophy hunter once. I thought it's really fun and all, but it really isn't. There are just so many stupid trophies. Like the one on Gears of War 2 where you have to kill 100,000 enemies or something. That's not fun, that's just work. That's just one example, too many times I did things that were no fun at all because of trophies. It's nuts. When I got bored of the PS4, I started playing again on PC. Technically Steam has achievements, but I don't care one bit of them. And then there are the old games I'm playing right now on SNES and NES. Call me crazy, but to not have trophies really felt like a new freedom for me. Finally I could do whatever the heck I want and just let go of games when they are not entertaining anymore. No more thoughts like "Just 20 more hours of farming and youll have the plat!". I like it.

So clearly I won't miss trophys, I got tired of them, I don't want them anymore. But I know I'm not the center of the universe. So the best solution really would be to make them optional. It's nice I can finally turn off the notifications on PS4, that way I don't have to care about stupid trophies anymore but anyone else can enjoy them at the same time and everyone's happy.

I think you misunderstood him. Seems like he was saying Nintendo are being annoying, narrowminded jerks by ignoring the people that want achievements rather than those people asking for them are the jerks.

Could have, I'm low on sleep and need to get up in  a few hours, just couldn't sleep. However this thread should be alive and well when I get off work. Maybe I will stop in on my Cell during my shift. LOL

Well, like I said. I thought it was fun to me, I only noticed that isn't the case when I played games again without trophies. I guess it grew somewhat to a habit for me or something. I seriously don't know, but it is what it is. ^^
