Which Switch Variant Is Most Appealling To You?

Switch Pro XL (More POWAH!) 28 40.58%

Switch TV (Home Only, No LCD, Cheap!) 20 28.99%

We probably are going to see multiple Switch models as the years go on. Just curious which Switch model/revision you guys would like to see.

1.) Switch Pro (XL) - Die-shrink Tegra processor (10nm) + larger battery + larger screen. 7.5 to 8-inch 1080p screen instead of 720p, can run full power (384-460 GFLOPS) in portable mode. Home docked mode goes even higher to around 1 TFLOP (optional for developers to support). 2018 release. Same size as existing switch (black bezels are reduced by larger screen).

2.) Switch Mini - Foldable version of the Switch, the bottom actually has Joy Cons, just with analog sliders instead of sticks. Joycons can slide out of the bottom half just like the Joycon cradle does. Top half is all screen (6 inch, 720p), no bezel. A bit bigger than a 3DS XL, but not too much bigger.

3.) Switch TV - Home version of the Switch, micro-console with no LCD screen or battery. Comes with two Joycons + controller crade. Cheap.

I don't think a portable-only or home console-only version will ever happen with the dual nature being integral to its marketing, but we'll probably get a Lite version in a few years that's slimmer, more efficient, longer lasting, etc.

Probably not for a while, but after a while I could see them easing on that, a $150 Switch microconsole would probably move a few extra units (I don't think it would ever be the main model obviously).

Remember when 3D was integral to the 3DS marketing? Me neither.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I think a portable-only would be very achievable.

To be honest the Switch Mini wouldn't necessarily have to be portable only. Perhaps you could separately buy a dock for it if you wanted TV play.

The Switch which would look like a sized up Vita. So.I can play Mario, Pokemon and Zelda on the road for cheao on a OLED screen.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Translucent Neon Green. No I am not joking. I seriously want that. I want 90s design to come back to electronics. Every piece of tech these days looks exactly the same. A slap a rectangle and almost always black. blah. I want crazy wild fun. The red and blue is a step back to that.

I'm going to go with more power just because I don't think I'd want a TV only option and since I'll probably be carrying the Switch in a dedicated carrying case, the size isn't that important to me.

Also, yes, if you want more power (whether graphically or battery wise or whatever) the system would actually have to be a little bit bigger, so you could expect to make the screen larger as well. Batteries tend to take up a big part of the interior guts of these things

I agree 100%. Was just goofing around with different colored translucent Nintendo 64 controllers when my friend came over the other day and we were debating the best see-through N64 variations. They even did the consoles, which was killer.

I wish Nintendo would do the N64 thing with the controller for current gen systems. I think they are out of touch with how much people dug that and still do dig that, its like not only very nostlagic but provides people with the fun of picking unique things. I mean having a neon green translucent? or a fire orange? or a smoke gray? or ice blue? its fucking fun

I know companies these days seem to want to have as few SKU's as possibile and keep inventory down, but even something like transluscent controllers or systems (maybe systems would be harder to achive now with how the portables are made, but still) would really boost casual hype for some of this stuff.

People always are blah blah blah-ing about the fun colored N64 variations
