The Wii U held up for at least 3 years. If you think 50 bucks spread over 3 years is too much you should not be buying consoles.

Well, the thing is that PS2 cost me $150 total back then, and held up more than 3 times what Wii U did... 3 years is laughable. So, why wouls someone would want to pay more for less?

The topic here is not that $50 bucks is too much, but $50 bucks is too much compared to other options. And yeah, I think Wii U was my last consolo (talking about nintendo at least)

What are the other options that let you play the latest Nintendo games?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

No, it was little thin with games, but defiantly not trainwreck.

First: Is never good having a high price just because you have no other options. Its abusing the fandom.

Second: I was interested only (for now) in BotW, so yeah, the WiiU will have to do for now. They can keep their switch in their pants.

"We all make choices, but in the end, our choices make us" - Andrew Ryan, Bioshock.

It just goes to show Nintendo should stick with the pre recorded and edited videos for announcements and not go for live presentations in the future.

That being said, it did the job of showing some game trailers and explaining more about the device which is the only reason anyone was watching so I will call it ok. As mentioned above however, would prefer them to steer clear of such events in the future at least with the current group of spokesmen, only one that I can say probably didn't look awkward on that stage was Suda 51.

It's funny how people were praising the reveal because "NO KIDS!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!" Then the big show announcing games and we get 1,2 Switch and Arms not to mention a cell shaded Xenoblade, and 10 minutes of dedicated motion controls, ect. Yet again makes you wander who this system is trying to cater to.

The presentation was really terrible.
My Hype went to almost zero, despite xenoblade x and fire emblem warriors.
I just realise that when I let the buzz pass a little and saw the information condensed in shorter youtube videos explaining everything showed.

My hype now is even greater than it was at october levels.
Im only pissed about price.
But i am defnitelly getting a switch. probably this year.

So, that means they presented very poorly. Even youtubers manage to present switch much better.

I definitely get the feeling that Nintendo plans on soft launching this system and then gradually build it up leading into e3. Even after the presentation it sounds like their is support coming but games are in such various stages of development that they didn't try to lock down release dates for them.

What's weird about Nintendo is that the official Switch announcement trailer was so amazing and to the point, that this press conference didn't live up to anywhere close of that reveal. They need to put together another Nintendo direct like the January 2013 before e3 to build up or keep excitement high.

As usual though Tree house Live delivers and manages to actually sell you on games that the presentation did not!
