1-2 Switch is making me really worried. Why'd they make something like this...it's $50 too. What's Nintendo smoking over there!

Nintendo should be paying people to buy it, lol.

Jesus, this game is an embarassment. It made me sad, depressed that somewhere in Nintendo, somebody thought 1-2 Switch was okay. Nintendo will be fine, they just aren't winning any console wars anytime soon.

Basically, their handheld fanbase will have to save the console, unless they are not willing to spend so much. This one seems hard to predict

Been saying this ever since the Wii U was revealed; Nintendo are simply unwilling to read and respond to the market and insist that they can somehow have their cake and eat it too.

Some truly shocking choices they've made, the Wii's unprecedented drop in the latter half of the 7th gen and the whole Wii U disaster taught them next to nothing, it seems.

Yeah this is going to be well over $400 day 1 for most people I'd have to think

$300 - system
$60 - Zelda
$70 - Pro Controller

One other major hidden cost people are overlooking is the need for an external SD card. The Switch launches with 32GB built in. Even phones and tablets come with more. In this day and age for game consoles (especially a portable HD game console), 32GB is pitiful.

You can add another $50-$100 on to your list for a 252-512GB SD card if you want to have any games or patches on your system or buy literally anything digitally.

Meanwhile at Nintendo ...

That was terrible. Basically 2 launch games. Paid online. Quirky minigames. No 3rd party stuff.

For now, I'm out :/

My thoughts exactly.  Essentially no real games! :'( Zelda looks amazing, but I already have a Wii U so it's pointless.  They have FAR fewer games than the Wii U had, and we thought that was a weak lineup.

Paying to talk on a "special" smartphone app? Talk about pointless.

That 2 second teaser of Fire Emblem almost got me extremely excited, but then I saw that it was just a warriors game, so it's not that amazing.  A real Fire Emblem game would actually get me excited.

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

That's an actual gaming concept?! I can't imagine that I was sleeping soundly at work while this horror was set loose upon the world.

The gap in quality and value between the best and the worst from Nintendo must be the biggest gap in the universe.

Do they have to win a console war? I thought they want to make profit. They apparently made profit with the GameCube and GBA so...

Anyway, 1-2 Switch is produced by Kouichi Kawamoto who has been involved with the Four Swords games, Brain Age, system applications. Probably one of the young blood you guys keep hoping would step up. 1-2 Switch appears to be a simple, ice breaker game for gatherings. It's harmless and uses the features of the Joy Cons effectively. Is it $50? Maybe not. But doesn't make it a bad game. Games can be more than just pushing buttons. We hope for so much from stuff like PSVR so why not let Nintendo experiment like they have always done?
