Forums - Sales Discussion - Final Fantasy XV total shipments top six million

I'm glad it's selling well just to see people above cry about it.

Well this game really slowed down in sales then. First week 5 million shipped. 2 months later 1 million more. Seems like a big slow down. Game isn't that great either. I all but platinumed it because I stopped caring not long after I beat the story.

Its closer to 1 month than 2 xD the game launched on the 29th of November

Awesome. The first game I bought at full price in ages.

Well deserved. Here's hoping it keeps selling.

All those poor, disappointed consumers.

Your echo chamber too strong.

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

Yeah sounds demand is still strong..the price is back up to 50 bucks for ps4 on amazon.
I have been seeing mostly positive reviews too 4 to 5 stars.
I bet there will be a small increase in sales when the 4k PS4 pro patch is release too as well as the expansions/DLCs.

Good, this means they sold through the 5 million shipment at launch. I expect another 2-3M sales this year, and +1M with the PC port, it can get to 10M.

It is an amazing game considering what it went through, it has a few problems (later chapters, cut content, Luna) but I hope SE is satisfied to continue on the road of making big budget console titles.

A slight bump for the expansions, another bump when they do the inevitable GotY/Definitive/Complete (whatever one they choose to use) Edition next year.  The potential to hit that 10m lifetime number is there.  I am thinking it will be close though.

yeah 10 mil is gonna be a easy target for them...FFXIII got around that and it wasnt anywhere near as good...

That is, unfortunelly for me, a good number. It wont reach the 10 millions they wanted, but its enough to make this a successful entry.Hopefully Square scraps this horrible direction they took and go back to the roots.

Dammit, I miss Final Fantasy.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Game looks like it sold well in US and had a good holiday in japan but it doesn't necessarily mean they sold threw the 5mil shipment. An additional 1mil in the month of dec could mean a number of things though it does point out the game is still selling (my point being its not guareteed 5mil)
