Thats the whole point, Im not an american.You are in an international forum.I dont think that even 20% of the users here are americans.So yes, I dont know that man(Which I would bet Im not alone in this), nor I even care.What I do care is that you are being, to put simply, being rude and very very agressive.You need to remember that the US is not the same as the whole world.I consider many people to be far worse than Trump, and certainly than this guy you are angry about.

The problem is people's lack of self-control on the topic and not the topic itself. It's not being treated differently by the mods. I know of some users who are very nice and can give reasoned opinions on alot of topics but with politics, they lose their shit. That's the individual's fault for losing control and making a choice to say things in a post that will get them in trouble. 

It's the same with other non-gaming threads. People seem to get moderated more in those threads than the gaming ones from what I can tell. Should only gaming topics be allowed? No. People just have to learn how to behave themselves regardless of the topic.

That thread was exclusively about his health and not politics. If I'm not mistaken, the thread creator said that in the op. It actually takes a little bit to write out a post, a person has plenty of time to think about their post and cool down. It's not fair to the people who can behave and converse about these topics if cetain topics get banned just because of a few people who can't behave and regard others with some respect.

Well, it does depend on how you go about doing it. I've promoted communism/anarchism here before, but I've never been banned for it. However, much like you, I'm not a fan of John McCain, but I decided to mainly keep away from the thread for that reason, instead of risking saying something that could get me in trouble.

I wish we could just get rid of toxic, poisonous users without having to go around an old and silly rule set that's easy to manipulate.

He's referring to me. Personally I wish they would clamp down on posters taking other peoples posts out of context to push their agenda. Rol knew what i was talking about in the MC thread but he knew he'd get a good laugh of posting a graph which didn't accurately represent what i said. In that very same thread i had another poster having a go at me because i said 1 of the reasons 3ds still sells s because kids who are now old enough to get one do. I also provided another reason. I was replying to a guy who couldn't believe it was still selling so i provided some examples. 

Anyway this guy took it as i was saying only kids are buying it and had a go at me. Basically taking my post out of context. And the thread suffers as a result. Same with the rol thing. At least people like me are having some serious talk in there whereas as others just love to jump in and post something like "haha kerotan" and leave it like that.
