Be that as it may, it is still tangable flaws while XIIIs are more of preference. I hated the cast, linearity, and music; but some people may have enjoyed it which would put that game above XV.

Some people could argue that XIII had no flaws, while that's not the case with XV which has flaws on a game design level. Love XV all you want, but it is flawed.

I'd argue that having no widely agreed upon flaws doesn't by default make something better than something that has flaws but is a more enjoyable experience. But it just comes down to individual standards and feelings, in the end. Neither of our feelings are more valid than the others. My argument was mostly to not put so much value on a score.

But experience is percieved. As a game, it is worse then XIII.

This is vgcgartz. Theres people who love FFXIII.

Is FFXV great? Nah... its an average game. The combat is simplistic and boring, traveling is unecessarelly annoying, the story is weirdly paced cause its an open world, the citizens of the world don't reflect the story urgency, etc. It definitly does not deserve some of the praises it had.

But, with that said... it sure is a step up from XIII. Hopefully it can keep the ascending trajectory. But i really want Japanese devs to stop thinking real-time combat is better than turn based or ATB cause it really isn't. It's just different and results in a different style of gameplay, but not necessarely into a better game. I think FFXV would've been much more memorable if it had been turn based and you actually controlled all party members at once. I'm not a big fan of a group of monkeys following you around. When it's action based i prefer to be a badass by myself.

Being better or worse as a game is subjective based on individual perception and standards of what makes a 'good' or 'bad' game. Not everything is as good as the sum of its parts for many people. You find it to be worse, but plenty here seem to disagree. It's all subjective. No one can really definitively say one way or another. It's all just their personal feelings on the matter.

Basically, opinions yo.

A few weeks ago it was minor complaints.
Now everyone hates it.
Same as FFXIII, same as FFVII except the other way round.
Can people not think for themselves?
Who thought FFVII was all that on release?
Who had even heard of FF before FFVI?
Who thought IX was the best FF ever at release? Hell, even VIII was considered amazing on release until it was cool to hate it and pretend it didn't exist.

Hey remember when everyone and their dog used Sephiroth as a username on forums, then there was Kratos...

Such sycophantic thinking. It's embarrassing.
Good lord, it's enough to vomit.

I hate it. It's FFXIII for 2016. It's less fun than Phantasy Star Universe.

It's self aware trash.

Such a complicated post to just conclude that people have a better impression of the games after actually completing them rather than just based on the first few hours. Surely, it isn't that shocking or illogical.

Awful?Lol,no.My only aches with this game are, story too short,no proper aircraft,no switchable characters and those fucking summons.

Eat a Snickers, dude.

It hasn't been an enjoyable experience -- I am yet to finish it -- stopped playing it over 3 weeks ago when (I think) I was on chapter six. Going to push myself to complete it though even though there are probably other games I'd rather play...

It sure as hell is not some sort of Super Mario Galaxy generation defining game as it was claimed before its release, and after all these years it's easy to see why people are disappointed.

15's my next main game when I've finished Witcher 3 (heh...so February at the earliest?), topics like this somehow make me anticipate playing it more.
