Maybe, I think it has a very good shot. It basically just depends on when the PS5 launches.

PS4 should be at least 70 Million sold through by end of 2017.... 85 million 2018? 95+ million 2019? 

It's not going to immediately stop selling when ps5 launches either, assuming PS5 doesn't launch till Holiday 2019 I'd be surprised if it didn't reach the 100 million mark.

Really? 50 million in the three most expensive years (price wise) the console is on the market makes you think it cannot equal that in the next 4-7 years the console is likely to be produced? Many are saying 2016 likely won't be the best year for sales for the PS4. It just seems like a given to me that it's going to sell at least 100 million based on historical sales trends.

So using vgchartz and making a very rough estimate around 18-20% of game sales on PS4 are digital.

PS4 really is a software machine, the 3DS that's been out 3 years longer and still has a higher installbase has been eclipsed by PS4 in terms of software sales already.
