Now we all know the green party leader Jill Stein is spending millions of dollars trying to get recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. While I understand that recounts are important in very close votes, the results in 2 out of 3 of these states are hardly what I consider "close"

Now I will say this, the Michigan vote is quite close, I mean 10000 votes is a very small margin (less than .2%), so I guess we can see how that turns out. But considering Trump won Wisconsin by a 1% margin, and Pennsylvania by 46,000 votes, those two states are hardly close enough in which recounts should be had. I guess it pleases those who still hope they can force Trump not to be president, but its unlikely to go anywhere, and is just an utter waste of time any money. She would have to somehow flip ALL 3 of these states in order to have 270 electoral college votes. Losing even 1 will result in her not having enough electoral votes, and Wisconsin and Pennsylvania seem to have far too much of a gap in order to achieve a win. So what do you guys think? Will she be able to flip these states, or is all of this is gasping for air?

I guess we'll have to see. But while I think Michigan is very close, Wisconsin is just out of reach for her. So either way I doubt she'll become president even if she could turn Pennsylvania as well.

Has vote recount ever changed the result of an election in any 1st world coutry?

She realizes that trump has won. The reason she's doing this is because there's legitimate concern for hacked machines. If they find any sort of evidence, this can be something to think about for the next election

I don't know enough about the situations in those states to say 100% but if it is futile then I'm against holding a recount. The recent trend of citing fraud without a single speck of evidence is also getting out of hand.

In my state, the sitting Governor is 10,000 votes behind yet he will not concede. Out of 100 counties in the state, he's filed charges of fraud in 52 of them. I mean, seriously? The election board just voted to have some of the results from one county recounted, which hopefully will bring this to an end. Of course, it's all political--the 3 Republicans on the board voted "yes" and the 2 Democrats voted "no".

Then again, it might not really be futile because the General Assembly gets to vote in a "too close to call" election and they're a Republican majority. That could very well be what they're really after with the fraud allegations.

Then why ask for a recount in three states Trump narrowly won in? Why not at least one where Hillary narrowly won?

You seem to be talking about this like it is Hillary requesting the recount, unless something has changed it isn't her camp requesting this, it is Jill Stein for the Green Party.
