But tomb raider and doom already have a big following on PC compared to Final Fantasy which most of the fans are on console. Also FF15 will be a late port if it does come to PC.

You skipped the "Benchmarking tool" part, maybe it's my fault for picking bad examples.

Ryse: son of rome, was a late port that sold well because it was a good game to push people systems.

Ok but it didn't sell over 700k.

These PC predictions seem a bit high considering the best selling FF on PC is 7 and it barely hit 1 million.

Well, to be fair, we don't know how well the original FF7 PC release did back in 1998, VGC doesn't have it tracked, so all we have to go are the sales of a very late Steam port, like 10+ years late. Also, Final Fantasy 7 on Steam was a straight up port of the original, so it was very outdated. Tabata has been hinting at a significant graphics upgrade for FFXV PC. So I think 1.5m is possible, assuming they don't take more than a year and a half to port it to PC.

But other FF games have done pretty bad on PC. If it comes to PC I can't see it selling more than 800k.

Your comparing Ryse sell potential with Final Fastasy?

FFXIII sold over 600k on a 5 year old port, saying FFXV doing 800k-1.2 isn't doable is a stretch.

On PC its a pretty fair comparison considering only a few FF games have outsold it.

PS4: 6m
XB1: 1.5m

Total: Around 7.5m

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I still think it won't be huge. But after watching the movie and anime i have been turned over to the dark side and am willing to put up with that combat system just to see the world and the story.

Also, becausevworld of FF turned out disappointing for me, so it freed the space.

Square dreams to sell 20M+ like Skyrim. Dream on, even with a PC version, I don't see it coming.

It will be 6M-10M at most.

Well, if Square milked the same exact game for five years across multiple generations, they could get close.

8 millions include digital numbers ( PS4 6.5 - Xbox 1.5 ).
Might be a bit optimistic considering the decline in Japan.

I wouldn't call those sales bad at all. It's pretty good for a foremost console game. I'd consider everything above 500k a success.

Maybe, but I think NA and EU will pick up some of the slack.
