Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo is committing a lot of the same lethal mistakes they did with the WiiU, and more.

They never learn? It was painful...

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

It is basically the same price as the launch Wii U, $350-$360 with a game, I'm assuming people are going to buy a game obviously.

You just get to choose the game.

They are going to make money with this and keep a good market share. There is a significant market for handhelds and only one other significant player there. Nintendo has a large number of followers that they just concentrated in the same pool, for one single product. While I do not like what they have done, as it does not appeal to me, I think they they make a lot of money with that, selling probably 60-80 millions of this thing.
People might not be happy, but it will sell.

3DS isn't even sniffing 80 million and that was $169.99 or less or a big majority of its lifecycle.

Nintendo should start doing market research. So they could avoid fatal mistakes like the Wii-U and Switch.

Yeah, but the 2 pools of customers have been merged into one, they will loose some of their customer and get new ones; then the prices will drop with leaner skus. They will need to admit at a certain point that they are not selling home consoles anymore, and sell it "nude".

such as?

I think even with mistakes it'll sell better than Wii U just because it's actually portable, but it's no Wii/DS type thing either.

Oh for sure, because a system that fuses their handheld and console divisions, meaning all the games the 3ds got minimum, much better consumer and developer reception, and with 2 system sellers in 9 months of each other, all of that means the Switch will suffer the same fate as the Wii U because it's not as powerful as the vast minority want it to be. I mean it's not like the inferior (In terms of power) PS1, PS2, or Wii had any trouble dominating their respective generations. Man I swear the posters in these forums really think their opinions are gospel and irrefutable eh, especially when it comes to Nintendo. I mean it's no different from gaming journalist articles, nothing but clickbait/letting off steam. Meanwhile the reception everywhere else on the internet (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter) has been overwhelmingly positive.
