I guess Sony can bring back the PSP/PSP Go since they had that whole handheld to home console feature already. (Surprised they didnt do that for the Vita but rather made the PSTV)  

But I dont think MS will get into that.  They've had many talks about entering the handheld business.  If anything they might as well impliment it with their Surface Pro. 

now that I think, with the surface I can use a xbox controller, there's the xbox app and there are xbox games. so maybe a surface for gaming.

well yeah they could have the ps4 or ps5, but also a tablet device. After all sony is more about electronics and technology than nintendo.

It's called the vita or Xperia device and remote play.  Tbh as cool as it is very few people care. It wouldn't sell better than the current ps4 situation.

yh poor nintendo. But in this case I dont think originality was even what they were aiming for. The only special thing about the swithc is that it has attachable controllers. But outsidr that it's just a tablet that you can hook up to ur tv. Via a dock that charges it at the same time.

But no, I don't think Sony or MS will follow. on Sony part they will just focus on PSnow. maybe even release a PSnow app for the switch.

I don´t game on the go, I would hate the compromises that come with it.
I hope sony doesn´t fiddle with handhelds anymore.
Don´t care about microsoft.

If the Switch proves successful, I fully expect Xbox and Playstation to pick up this direction. I really do.

I bet within the next year, MS unveils an Xbox One in the Surface form factor. Playstation may even start caring about the Vita again - or more likely, create a portable version of the PS4.

If the console is the game changer which Nintendo hopes it to be, then of course their gaming competition are going to offer a similar product, it's the way things move forwards, from analogue sticks, Hard disk drives, motion controls everything, when something is attempted by one of the big manufacturers and it becomes popular, then the other system manufacturers try to emulate and put their own spin on it for their customers.

Yes, but they need games from third parties in universal windows store for this and ofc more power. I doubt that the current surface model will be able to run xbox games
