It's the #1 Trending video on YouTube, and it managed to get more views than the Breath of the Wild trailer, in less than 24 hours, so the Switch and Breath of the Wild are their top 2 viewed YouTube videos....Gonna be one hell of a launch!

That's what I 'm trying to say, but people are taking it the wrong way. I'm not saying views will translate to sales, I'm just pointing out that the NX reveal is performing well on Youtube, better than the Wii U did, and compared to new console reveals which have a greater install base than the Wii U.

Your narrative softened from the OP to this statement. Perhaps if you have phrased better it would got less disagreements

I don't think I've softened on anything since the OP... I stand by everything I said in the OP. In essense, I wanted to point out the growth and reception that Nintendo has recieved with Breath of the Wild and Switch compared to where they were 5 years ago, and compared to recent hardware reveals. The disagreements most likely came from comparing it to newer hardware reveals, I knew that was going to happen. This is more of a statistic analysis for Nintendo's performance then, to now.

The Nintendo Youtube channel also seems to be doing well.

If you don't see the change ok

If you really want to compare with something more accurate it would be this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7QhUL8NUK4

This was the first look at the PS4. It was also shown on many live streams so those views aren't counted.

Switch could get there I guess.

Switch will definitively beat this, and by a lot.

50 million views minimum, possible +100 million in the end... i mean, is already at what, 15 million in a day? (the update is bugged cause is getting lots of views)

which may amount to nothing

lol i you think so...

From what I've seen outside of gaming forums (like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc), the reception has been very positive; honestly outside of gaming forums (and Youtube of course) I haven't seen many negative comments.
If Nintendo doesn't screw up with something this can be very big if the reveal reception is anything to go by.

No. This trailer was released on Nintendo's youtube channel. The PS4 E3 reveal on the PS's channel only has 2M views. Why? Because people watched on so many other sites or on the livestreams from multiple sites.

the Facebook trailer for the Nintendo Switch has similar numbers to the one on Youtube (based on comments/likes). There are tons of different sources besides the Youtube where people are watching the Switch trailer.

also obviously it appears to already be a bit of sensation, casuals seem to be hyped as hell for this. Compare the Switch release trailer comments and reactions in 24 hours with the Wii U and its mind blowing....

Something has caught fire
