List of Production failures so far for Wrestlemania 35:
1. Forgot Aleister Black's fog.
2. Accidentally kept a bright light on from Randy Orton's intro through most of the match, preventing tens of thousands in the crowd from seeing.
3. The music department missed the Dance Break cue from Alexa Bliss.

I am sure there were some more.

Other notes:
* Charlotte broke Rousey's hand very early on in the match. This would have been rough considering her style involves a lot of rolls and fast flips which requires use of hands.
* Brock Lesnar flew out of NYC right after his match.
* The decision to kick the show off with Lesnar vs Seth was made during the kickoff show, the card was re-organized last minute. AJ Styles vs Orton was supposed to be the first match of the night.
* Batista quietly retired after Wrestlemania 35. Good for him, he didn't steal Kurt Angle's thunder in this way.
* Big E and Hogan buried the hatchet.
* 82,265 and 16.9 million US gate, beating the stadium's previous record set at Wrestlemania 29 by 4.6 million. Also, the third highest attendance of any Wrestlemania ever, and the second highest gross (Wrestlemania 32 grossed 17.3M and had an attendance of 101,763).

Considering the fact that Lesnar left not only the arena, but the city, state, and country as soon as his matched ended, it's likely the reorganization of the card was done at his behest. I find this amusing because he did a similar thing at UFC 100, when by request from Lesnar, the UFC bumped the 3rd-to-last fight of the night up to main event, which was just bizarre. Never happened before or since.

He's a bit of a drama queen.

A couple more notes to add:

* AJ Styles was injured during the event. Not sure the severity of it, only that it involves his hip.
* WWE apparently miscommunicated to the city how late the event would run, and they thought it would be wrapping up at 10:30pm, but it instead went until 12:30am New York time. This resulted in tens of thousands of people stranded for long periods of time.

Kind of underwhelming overall. Most of the matches felt like they could have happened at any Raw or Smackdown outside of a few like Seth vs Brock, Main event, Kofi/Bryan, and Miz/Shane. NXT TakeOver New York was so, so much better.

My star Ratings: NXT Edition

00000 - NXT Tag Championship - Fast paced, well balanced, absolutely looooooved the ending with the respect shown to Black and Riccochet.
0000- - NA Championship - Started a little slow but picked up the pace and ended with an absolute bang! Loved it!
00000 - UK Championship - Long and hard hitting but despite being long was engaging all the way through and kept me on the edge of my seat!
0000- - Women's Championship - A little on the short side and didn't like the ending but damn it was full of great spots and was high octane!
00000 - NXT Championship - Not only was it filled with outstanding spots throughout, but even with a screwey finish we got the result we wanted! Unexpected!

Every match was great to excellent and I'd argue that all five matches on the NXT Card were better than juuuust about everything on the Wrestlemania card. Only Kofi/Bryan and Ronda/Charlotte/Becky were even on the same level as the WORST match on the NXT Card.

On for my wrestlemania Star Ratings:

000-- - Cruiserweight Championship - It was alright. A little short and light on story but the action was good throughout.
----- - Women's Battle Royale - I hated this match. Chock full of botches, shitty ending, had an opportunity to make a star and we got more Carmella. fuck this match.
000-- - Raw Tag Championship - Basic match but I loved the ending. It's so nice to see Zack and especially Hawkins get a wrestlemania moment.
00--- - Men's Battle Royale - Kinda boring, honestly. Had some really cool spots and eliminations but went short, ended poorly, and far too much of it was dedicated to celebrities. Bland but not terrible.
000-- - Universal Championship - Match/event was boring as hell (0 stars for the match itself) but I loved the outcome (Brock basically jobbing to rollins). Bye Bye Brock.
00--- - AJ Styles vs Randy Orton - Outside of a few clever reversals and misdirections, this felt like a random Smackdown main event, not a Wrestlemania moment.
0000- - Smackdown Tag Championships - I'm as surprised as anyone here, but this match was pretty fun! all over the place, kept me guessing, lots of fun!
0000- - Miz vs Shane - not a classic but the story was there and had the second or third best ending of the night. what a bump!
----- - Women's Tag Championships - Honestly found this one boring, short, and I absolutely haaated the result. Can't stand the Iiconics at all.
00000 - WWE Championship - Fantastic match, great story, great build, great payoff, lovely mix of action and technicality, and post match celebration made me happy!
0---- - US Title - I like that Samoa Joe looks like a beast, single star for having the balls to do it but the match was garbage.
0---- - Reigns vs McIntyre - Reigns has some ring rust on him and I could tell WWE was just going for the feel-good win, match was boring and slow and short.
0---- - HHH bs Batista - Started out interesting and intense with entrances and some real violence, but both men got gassed within minutes and the remaining 20 minutes of the match were garbage; slow, boring, and full of botches.
----- - Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin - disrespectful. Not only did this FEEL like a Raw filler match, it's literally a match we've seen many times before. Poor Kurt deserved better and yet of the two he was the one who couldn't keep up. So very sad. Can't give this a single star.
000-- - Intercontinenta Championship - Honestly kinda liked this match. It's silly and goofy but I love seeing Demon Balor do his thing and Lashley still got some offense in! Went a little short or long depending on stance. Decent match, but nothing special.
0000- - Women's Championship - Loved this match from the entrances up to the end, but that botched finish really ruined the lasting impact of this match.

So yeah, most of Wrestlemania was forgettable and boring. Like, almost all of the matches either were cut short, had wrestlers who were so far past their prime it showed, or underwhelmed and were no better than your weekly programming. The only matches i actually liked or loved was Shane vs Miz, the Smackdown Tag Championship (Sleeper hit of the night), Kofi vs Bryan, and the Main event. Nothing else felt special or lived up to even the least ambitious expectations.

Overall I give the event a 4/10. Four good to great matches, a handful of meh, and a whole lot of no thanks. But hey, at least Brock lost so I don't have to watch his uniformly terrible work while he holds the belt hostage for months at a time.

Random thought about Mania (my wife wouldn't let me watch Raw): That women's tag match. How the heck did the Iiconics win? Didn't you have to be TAGGED IN!?

Billie Kay tagged herself in off of Beff Phoenix and made the pinfall as Peyton Royce tackled Phoenix out of the way.

Not the team I expected to win, but instead the team I wanted to win. The Glam Slam DID finish the match - and THAT I did expect =)

I love these two! Now I only hope they don't mess with their characters the way they did Carmella's after she got the belt.

So many injuries during Wrestlemania and post WM. Damn son.

They do WAY bigger moves. I think a lot of it is lost on people. Randy Orton and AJ did this crazy powerbomb off the top ropes - one of the best moves of the night - and I don't even see it mentioned in the reviews... I'm not even really a fan of those two, but I felt AJ's pain, and I am willing to bet his injuries are linked to that.

One thing I noticed with all the inter-brand promotional stuff occurring is that it happened once it was clear that the two biggest stars in WWE were on Smackdown. Would this have happened if they were RAW stars?

so because Vince is shittting his pants about AEW that is how he ends mitb? there was a load of talk that the winner this year was going to be made into a huge star.... naw f it just go to this BS again. I won't write the winner just if EU people have yet to watch it, but this will be all over youtube wwe vid thumbnails but wow that was awful imo, they should have ended the show on the womens stuff, that was happy fans, this is tragic for wwe and the future

God, I hope and pray that AEW succeeds enormously

Cancelled my subscription to WWE Network immediately after the end of this PPV. HAven't been watching Raw/Smackdown ever since Wrestlemania weekend, but I have been reading about the goings-on and just...how could it be so persistently bad across the board?

And Brock Lesnar is just the worst. I hate everything about him. Not in a 'wow, how vile, what good heel work' way, in the 'everything he does is boring, he hates what he does, and loves pissing the fans off and his matches are boring and he ruins the overall product' kinda way. Him winning the briefcase was the final straw. They'll never get my money again

I have also stopped watching seriously until they get their stuff together, how did anyone think that was a smart idea

Apparently none of the match participants knew it was Brock to win and up until mid way through the ppv Ali was told he was winning the match, even for Vince the idea to change that happened last weekend, he has no long term vision and it's so obvious if you watch the product week to week. It's close to insulting.

Agree with above comments, Brock matches and title reigns are boring, the money in the bank case is meant to be something fans love the tease of like even during the event with Bayleys save of Becky but now the next time we hear Brock music near Seth or Kofi it means lights out for a story being told and welcome back to no belt on that brand and stupid matches where Brock does suplex s or f5s and the only offence anyone gets on him is when he runs into the ring posts. All his matches are the same outside of one interesting angle with Goldberg but that was now over 2 years ago.
