Why not wireless?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

To be fair this is supposed to be a nostalgic experience, you playing your games just like in the good old days. That means sitting on the floor with your system in front of you. Not saying I wouldn't have liked longer cords, I would obviously, but I get the idea they're going with.

Nintendo is the one always emphasizing to take breaks every 15 minutes. But now they may be using the nostalgia factor to save costs on cord length which will get people too close to their television. I wouldn't let my children that close to the television and nostalgia wouldn't change my mind. Sounds hypocritical to me.

..or you could have longer cords and still sit on the floor if that's your thing

Sure, I'm just saying what they're probably going for.

Guess I'll need a long hdmi cable so I can sit back further. Silly, but that is no different than other plug and play legacy devices like Atari and Sega.

We all used to play Smash with the Gamecube in the middle of the living room. It was practically on the coffee table. Either way I'm thinking of using a extension or a longer HDMI would work.

That is a really random argument, cords are cheap, is way more possible they made it like that so the Nes is always close (because you need the reset botton to save and change game) than for saving costs.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, it's a microconsole so it's not that inconvenient to move the console out if you need to. Or you can get a longer cable or controller adapter if it turns out to be a really big problem.

Fortunately we can plug that into our Wii controllers. IDK if the Wii controller can connect to the system though.

That is pretty stupid. There's no need to drag the console away to the middle of the floor just to have enough distance from the TV. The cords should have just been longer. That's quite a blunder on Ninten's part. What were they even thinking?

Doesn't matter to me because I'm going to buy them for the plastic case, buttons and rubber pads underneath. Basically, I'm going to take it apart and then just swap the circuit boards/cable out with my old, beat up NES controllers.

Basically, it's a brand new NES controller for only $9.99. Take THAT Ebay gougers!

Thats too short... this is gonna be a issue.
I wasnt planning on getting one but this would be enough to put me off doing so.
