I've heard to is a vast improvement on the first game, which i had a mild interest in, so i'll probably pick it up in a couple of months.

I´m going to answer the quesion with my 3DS :)

I love Yokai Watch :D

Can´t wait for Yokai 2 >.<

Because Pokemon is simply better.

Those little spirits of nature, that inhabitate everything..... thats very "asian".
Which is why I suspect it hasnt caught on in the rest of the world like it did in japan.

Shin megami tensei has killed my interest in both yo-kai watch and Pokemon

I've seen it for sale, but i honestly have no idea what kind of game it even is.

monster collecting rpg. It's fun.

Isn't it just a worse, more kiddie version of pokemon? I can see why it doesn't get huge love in the west. Pokemon is king.

Although it's a monster game, they're very different. I think you should have a go.

Combat system is super fun

I'd probably like it if I was 4-12. Otherwise it just feels unappealing.

I'll prefer Pokemon or Shin Megami Tensei tbh

edit; another problem is the concept of yokai in the first place. My 4 year old cousin said she loved yokai, yet she couldn't even explain what they were.

Unlike Pokemon, yokai watch has a major appeal to Japan. You don't need context to know that Charizard is a badass fire-breathing lizard, or that Mewtwo is that punk who'll take your lunch money. On the other hand, you wonder what the hell some of the Yokai are based on.

I think you need to try it out. It's not bad. Combat is fun, it's funny, good story, lot of things to do, post game is great.

It is. I play both.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

I tried the demo. Was highly unimpressed.

I tried the demo, and I found the gameplay too simplistic, even for a JRPG aimed to children.

The demo is rubbish. Too bad they couldn't pull this off. The game is way better than its demo and the game gets more complex later. Plus collecting monsters is not easy in this game.

Combat system is basically what a mobile game is .

but on a device that is dedicated for gaming, and software that is not free.

My daughter watches the Yokai Watch commercials. Does that count?
