Was going to say this. Bethesda are already really bad are optimising games to run well, and now they want to release mods that might make things worse. 

According a poster on Gaf, Bethesda refused to use the tools needed for sound and textures for the mods.

Yeah no thanks. Bethesda need this quality control because some of the results of installing their mods on xbox are completely unacceptable. How did Microsoft let this pass? It shouldn't be about looking like the good guy, they've an onus to look after their paying customers.

Sure, but you could say that about all 8th gen systems currently out right now except for the Wii U. I'm talking about the decisions they've been making lately to be more specific. 

I wonder why not maybe they're afraid of something going wrong that can cause the hardware to break. the thing about mods is people will keep pushing until something breaks

Good for you. I like my PS4 as well the only thing that has dissapointed me about it is so far some of the first party outings. I think we can agree that all companies are doing really well right now, maybe with the exception of Nintendo's Wii U but they have the NX soon and that has gained a lot of hype. 

Still doesn't change the fact that some of Sony's recent decisions make absolutely no sense and are really dumb though.  No mods? No 4K UHD on their 4K System? Charging up PS+ price just because they wanted to? That last one is especially far from #4theplayers. They're just making the Xbox One S look better and have more advantages over them each time and Microsoft has every right to take advantage and market their system with that because Sony pulled the same shit back in E3 2013 with their sharing used games video and such. 

You can be fine with ignoring these recent bad decisions and just be happy thinking about all the games you're still getting, but i'm not going to do that and I would say a lot of people aren't going to do that as well considering the responses that Sony is getting. 

It's really cheap of Bethesda to put all the blame on Sony. I doubt we have the whole story.

Looks like I'm not buying Skyrim on the PS4 then. Xbox One S looking more and more appealing as the days go by.

Pretty much this.  I'm struggling to get through all my games to the point where I can't buy a lot of games when they are released because I've already got so much to play.
