I guess September is X1 again?

This looks like Sony better have enough stock for the last 3 months which should all be huge.

Nope.

Why not? If people are holding out for PSVR and Pro it should be the worst the month before release.

Or is there some big September release I've missed?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Have fun watching  movies.

I'll be playing  a huge amount  of awesome  new exclusive  games, unlike some other"game console"

lol name me good exclusive ps4 had since uncharted 4

There has not been an exclusive for the PS4 since Uncharted 4, and either way, xl-klaudkil was talking about the PS4 Pro, and when that releases, The Last Guardian will be on the market for two weeks, Dragon Quest Builders will have its Western Release about 20 days before The Last GuardianGravity Rush 2 will be close to being released, Ni-Oh will be released soon after that, with Horizon coming out two months later, Gran Turismo Sport soon releasing, and then Persona 5 in February as well. Not to mention the amount of PSVR exclusives that will be released, but let's not get into that. Plenty of exclusives friend

Kudos XBO, the S did its job, next month should be more interesting.

What does that have to do with his numbers being right?

@ poklane

When Ethomaz was on here, I don't believe he had access to any numbers.  Not sure if he has access now or not.  May just be a guess of his.

It's still August when all said and done. I thought it was a weird month to launch in, will be more telling how it goes from here

PS4 price cut to $299, maybe?

Amazon has so far proven quite a reliable outlet to determine US home console sales this gen, and currently the PS4 is doing very well on Amazon. The PS4 Black Ops 3 bundle is currently the best selling console in the Hourlies (excluding the PS4P), and the LE Uncharted 4 bundle is creeping up on the highest XB1s bundle. Also, the Uncharted 4 slim bundle still has to hit the rankings. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=219978&page=14

Well you have been a very active member of a website solely dedicated to sales talk for a few years now, so you should know better by now why Xbox One will absolutely not sell more than the PS4 in the United States. But just in case you weren't aware, there is a PS4 slim releasing in a week, the PS4 has always been vastly more popular than the Xbox One in literally every territory that isn't Brazil, and we are approaching a 2 million lead in the United States for the PS4. Why, when it appears that Xbox One S has underperformed in its launch month, selling less than 300k and perhaps selling less than 250k, would the Xbox One then go on to sell more in the United States in September in the, again, vastly more popular PS4 slim's launch month?

Microsoft statement:

“Thanks to our fans and their excitement for new Xbox One games and the recently launched Xbox One S — which is the only console available this holiday with built-in UHD 4K Blu-ray, 4K video streaming, and HDR for video and gaming — Xbox One was the best-selling console in the U.S. in August, according to NPD Group. In addition, we continue to see strong engagement on Xbox Live — the fastest, most reliable gaming network — with total global gaming hours on Xbox One consoles increasing 42 percent year-over-year. We’ve also received an incredible response to Xbox Design Lab, which saw millions of visits to the site and hundreds of thousands of designs created by fans. We’re excited to launch Clubs and Looking for Group on Xbox Live broadly this holiday alongside some of our biggest titles for the year, including ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4 and Dead Rising 4.”
