PS5. If it can match it, then it's as I expected. The Scorpio will literally be a cross gen system.

Do you guys really expect a PS5 in 2018? If their sales continue they'd be stupid to release a "new gen" console that soon. Sales aren't going to magically shift towards Xbox thanks to more power.

The idea that a 'PS5' will come in 2018 is laughable. If they call it anything it will be PS4K...maybe in 2019...seeing as 4K would become standardized, keeping a coherent product association and they want to keep that forward compatible ecosystem.

As a whole, after seeing Todd Howard talking about the Scorpio, I am convinced Beth is cooking something up and you know how they like the brand and how their games sell... 

Now, if the next TES game were Scorpio/XONE exclusive, they'd probably deliver a critical hit to Sony. 

And if Microsoft does Minecraft 2 as Xbox and PC exclusive... They could steal a stupidly massive amount of gamers.

I don't expect a PS5 in 2018. I expect a PRO 2 taking the 399$ slot and the original Pro replacing the slim model as a cheaper offering.

And I agree, sales will not shift to either side thanks to more power.

MS has released games on Steam before, so there's no need to jump the gun there, MS hater...

It's pretty hilarious seeing people dismiss the power difference now that it will the other way around.

Sales as a purchase justificator. That will make the power difference and shift of definitive multiplatform games go away somehow...

Best controllers on the market, best service and soon most powerful console on the market. It is best not to sleep on what those 3 together mean for the core market. Scorpio puts Xbox in a comfortable position for sure.


Better controller is subjective but those 2 other things won't ever be important enough. What is best service anyway? For the power, we all know how the Xbox and GC fared against the PS2 or the 360, which was supposed to have the best versions of multiplats, fared against the PS3.
