What we've seen on Amazon will have been mirrored at other retailers too. Can MS make up for nearly a full month of being behind in the last 5 days of the month? I don't think it's impossible but it's certainly unlikely.

I don't think this was Microsoft's plan though, I think Target just screwed up and Amazon is pricematching them like they always do. The free game deal was supposed to be for games $59.99 and lower, but Target accidentally (apparently) forgot to put a price, which means that any Xbox game is free with the console. So people naturally gravitated towards the Collector's Editions that retail for about $200 and started using them to figure out ways to return those games and get the Xboxs for cheap. For once, I think this is just a happy accident for Microsoft, as they really only meant this to be like every other free game week. 

Well according to the monthly the xbox one s is only 10 places behind the cod bundle so its hardly cut and dry. Could jump ahead if they maintain the hourlies for the month.

True, but considering how much better Amazon's Xbox deal is than any retailer outside of Target, Amazon and Target are now the outliers, and may end up being heavily skewed. In all honesty, it's made the month practically impossible to guess at, as the Amazon and Target deals could either be selling relatively small or relatively great numbers in compared to other retailers. There's just no real way to know until the NPD releases. 

Still no 3DS, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Some of you are drawing conclusion far too quickly as usual. The PS4 has had 2 SKUs ahead of the XB1 (that affect this month) for quite some time and none of those XB1s ever got into the top 20. Now we've got 1 XB1 console in the top 10 and 1 PS4 in the top 20, a much closer situation than when the PS4 lead. I'm not saying the XB1 can't win this month but as it stands right now it doesn't look like it can make it. If in the next couple of days we see 2 or 3 XB1 SKUs above the PS4s (at the high point of the chart) then, yes, I'll re-evaluate the situation.
