It will come to both NX and PS4, there is little to no doubt about that. The 3DS audience proved is too profitable to abandon, but the same can be said about the growing PS4 one. The series being multiplat will only benefit everyone.

There is enough reason to doubt that. If Nintendo and Capcom are both willing to extend their contract for NX, then the PS4 will be left out.

That exclusivity deal includes all consoles, not just handhelds? Wow, Nintendo really hit the jackpot with that deal. And Capcom kinda screwed it up, if true, they'll lose all those potential PS4 dollars.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

If it didn't include home consoles, we would have seen Monster Hunter on the PS3 already.

You greatly overestimate how popular the series would be on the PS4. It's a console with a low installed base and modest growth at best. What Capcom gets from the deal with Nintendo is marketing support in America and Europe which aligns with Capcom's desire to make the IP popular worldwide.

True, but the only way the series is going to be really popular in the West is if it comes to home consoles (or PC), handhelds aren't what they used to be. If the NX can double as a home console, then yes, there is a possibility that Capcom might be satisfied with the NX, but I'm sure they also want those sweet PS4 dollars somehow.

After Street Fighter V, I would hope that Capcom doesn't think of the PS4 as sweet. If Nintendo continues to offer marketing support for America and Europe, then that should certainly be more enticing than making MH for PS4.

True, but to be fair, SFV was fully Capcom's fault, releasing the game with half of the features, characters and online problems was what killed the game.

And with the NX, maybe could we actually get those promised exclusives that were promised for the Gamecube but never were fully realized (either abandoned or multiplat). Maybe a reboot of Power Stones or Dalkstalkers, that shouldn't be that expensive or hard to do.

It's at least a beginning guys!!!

Edit: Bigger question is why this game is not on PS Vita too. From the trailer I would say that this game could run on a PS Vita.

Yeah, OP could do with updating since it seems people are reading that post but nothing else.

This game is already on Vita, the update will also be coming too.  FYI, it sold a load better than the WiiU version, and I'm willing to bet it'll sell better than the PS4 version too.  And that'll still be in the tens of thousands at most, lol.

If Capcom went with a new engine for it and updated the visuals I;d go for it, as things are it doesn't look all that great. One of my mates and his will no doubt look into the game on PC since both are playing the new one on 3DS.

Would be nice of Capcom to bring the mainline series to multiple platforms though.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

This must be the second most ported Capcom game of all time.

RE4 says hi :P

I think Street Fighter 2 is still the king. I could be wrong though!

I just doubt Capcom will make a mainline MH for consoles. I dont think it would be worth it for them. MH is still not extremely popular outside Japan and in Japan consoles are not really popular anymore. Unless the NX is a console/handheld hybrid and PS4 owners dont mind a port of the NX version, then maybe.

So... it's just a port?
I guess that explains the PS2-like assets.

Well, I'm sure that, when the next mainline MH comes out, it will have two versions, the NX and the PS4. The NX will do better in Japan and the PS4  better everywhere else. And Capcom will be happy. But I wonder if they are going to update the graphics, if I'm not mistaken, the best graphics of the series are either on the WiiU port or on that MH G online that exists for the chinese PC market.

The best graphics in the series by FAR would be MH Online by Tencent. The game is F2P but it still is really good, plus the graphics are so impressive that it even increases the immersion for me.
