There is enough reason to doubt that. If Nintendo and Capcom are both willing to extend their contract for NX, then the PS4 will be left out.

That exclusivity deal includes all consoles, not just handhelds? Wow, Nintendo really hit the jackpot with that deal. And Capcom kinda screwed it up, if true, they'll lose all those potential PS4 dollars.
