What exactly is a true hybrid?

A portable home console. For example, the GameCube.

I just dont get it, if a handheld that literally transforms into a console isnt considered a hybrid than i dont know what is.

To be honest I think 6.2 inches is actually pretty small for a tablet style device ... maybe in the future they will release a NX XL which has 8-inch or larger display (ala the iPad Mini screen size), as costs scale down.

stop taking anything this girl says so seriously, she always puts out vague information. She has no magical inside connection and is not anyone of any important. The only times her predictions have been correct have been cases in which tons of other people had already suggested or predicted the exact same thing

Well last time she said we are getting some NX infos in near future from some company, few days later we had Eurogamer article about NX. It seems that she definatly has some insaders informations, but like she said here, this were dev kits, she dont know about final product.

Hopefully its smaller so I can carry it around in my pocket easily

Weird I was thinking "I hope they make the screen bigger than the one the gamepad has".

Yes please.

the NX XL with a 8-inch screen sounds better to me.

If its going to be too big anyways to get carried in pockets cuz its a tablet, then might as well make it awesome to play on, with a huge screen.

Id like a bigger screen than the one the wii u gamepad has.

To be fair, she said that only dev kits were 6.2", that doesnt mean that final producat will be with that size, its posible they just used form factor of Wii U gamepad just with 720p resolution for dev kit and that final product will be prette difrent.

There is chanche they actualy used something like this for initial dev kit. :)

Didn't you get the joke???

Emily Rogers "leaked" some time ago that Mother 3 would get localized & sold in the US... the same way she "leaked" that Zelda: BOTW would have a female Link...

USB? Is that USB-C? From the quote it just sounds like USB 3.0.

Either way it's all just rumours, another reason to just ignore anything until the official announcemnt.

Yeah, this my main concern. I want a good quality screen. If Nintendo intend to be able to push this as a viable tablet, hopefully they'll go that bit further the screen.

Is 720p really that bad? My 8in. tablet has a 720p screen, and so does my 4.7in. phone. I see no difference in clarity between the two.

Hopefully Nintendo goes with IPS, or at the very least a TFT display that can compare to what Samsung puts in their low-end tablets.

No the resolution is fine, I'm more thinking about the colour and contrast. I dont expect Oled but I hope they deliver more than a basic lcd

I want it to be LCD.

Its cheaper, has better brightness levels (at lower power consumption).

Cheaper & lower power consumption is big for a handheld.

Also if your inside and useing your TV, OLED better quality of picture wont matter, you ll be useing the tv.

Outsides where brightness & powerconsumption are huge factors, a LCD wins.

Because it funktions as a hybrid I think there is less reason to use a OLED than if it was a pure handheld.
