Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Shin’en Multimedia Says That Their Next Project Will Be With Nintendo

Sad to say, FAST Racing NEO seems to have sold less than 100k.
To proceed in the game everyone has to win Cobalt Cup in Subsonic League. So far the count is only 68388 ranked gamers (probably a wordlwide count, from what I have seen from screenshots).
This is for a relatively cheap game (~$20). That is still over $1M in revenue and maybe 0.5M in profit.
I think this does not bode well for the chance of a $60 F-Zero. I would be happy to see a new F-Zero but the market for futuristic racers is not very good these days.
Anyway, everyone that has bought FAST Racing NEO - support Shin'en and buy the upcoming DLC!

I would be very happy to see a new Wave Race game or F-Zero.  Bring it on!

Oh don't worry, I'll be all over that like a necrophiliac at a mass grave excavation.

Did you even beat the game yet?

Unlocked all the cars, which good enough for me. :P

Now I mostly just replay cups on Subsonic/Supersonic for the funzies.

Me too! This game was a little too hard for me.

See, I think the best F-Zero was the first game so, I disagree.

No, the best one was F-Zero X, followed by the original, followed by Maximum Velocity. GX was a style over substance game, the other games (two GBA titles) were redundant.

Well, best is an opinion but... yeah. I never got the play X so I can't comment. I did own GX, and while I enjoyed it, I always felt like there was something missing. It didn't feel like F-Zero to me. When I boot up the original game, it's like... it feels the way it should be.

You should check out X ASAP, it is amazing.

I hope they remain Nintendo exclusive. Their offerings are usually the first things I look for in new Nintendo eshop games. I always enjoy their games and their offerings really make the eshop a great place to be. Looking forward to their NX offerings!

T.T You are cruel. What you see as style over substance is actually a better balance between style and substance. Is like comparing FFVI to VII. Except VI is better in that case.
