No, the best one was F-Zero X, followed by the original, followed by Maximum Velocity. GX was a style over substance game, the other games (two GBA titles) were redundant.

Well, best is an opinion but... yeah. I never got the play X so I can't comment. I did own GX, and while I enjoyed it, I always felt like there was something missing. It didn't feel like F-Zero to me. When I boot up the original game, it's like... it feels the way it should be.
