I just look up info on this game and learned that this game was in development since 2006...10 YEARS!? Here I thought this game was announced since 2012 or 2013 but nope 10 YEARS AGO!

Yep, I remember when it was announced. Although it wasnt announced as Final fantasy 15 then and was "Final Fantasy versus 13". It might have been 10 years ago but boy has that time flew by.

2006-2011 was Nomura mucking around on a ps3 exclusive game in a different engine with nothing but little concept slices. Probably what's going on with FF7R too. Expect Ep1 on PS5 with a different director and EP2 + EP3 by Nomura as handheld/mobile exclusives in the late 2020s

Real game started in 2012, keeping parts of VersusXIII's "scenario"
