Forums - Movies & TV - Netflix boss defends giving Adam Sandler money to make awful films | 'The two movies premiered at No. 1 in every single territory of Netflix around the world'

All of the Sandler movies have been hit or miss over the years. The Ridiculous Six was extremely stupid, yet still funny and entertaining. Thats what I was expecting, and thats what makes his movies successful. The audience gets exactly what the were expecting.

The only people complaining are the ones who actually expected something else.

Actually most complaints are from people that didn't and wouldn't watch the movie.

I agree, most have probably not seen any of his films or at least the recent ones.

I myself have found his recent films(last 6-7 years) to be less entertaining.  I think it is because his schtick has just worn out its welcome with me.  But, I still find parts of his movies well worth the time to watch.

It is near the end of the end....

Some of his movies are crap but many of them are really funny and he has a dedicated fanbase.

Ridiculous 6 is beyond ridiculous, but made me laugh quite a bit.
