Forums - Movies & TV - Hollywood Should Be Ashamed Of Itself -- Worst Summer Movie Season EVAR.

why CGI is great in all of those movies! Stoory and plot is unimportant. This are modern movies that are shown around the globe, nobody wouldnt understand it anyway. So keep stoory simple and put all money on awesome CGI.

I think one thing we have to also consider is that we are now in an age where there's about 20 big movies in a year. We're jaded by now.

Let's all write a letter expressing our disappointment to this Hollywood person!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

You have top grossing in your last post, but we have had a lot of good smaller movies as well.

Oh yeah, Central Intelligence was good too.

Pets Dragon is still coming too.

Pete's Dragon you honestly think it will be good lol?

The only movie I saw this summer was The Conjuring 2 and I liked it!

Honestly, TV shows are totally destroying films right now. There're plenty of outstanding TV shows right now (yeah, Stranger Things was awesome, so is Mr.Robot and some other summer TV shows). I understand your feelings regarding summer movies, I think the only decent movie I've seen was Civil War. I was very dissapointed with Suicide Squad, Star Trek:Beyond and Ghostbusters.

If Elliot doesn't do some whistle, tick and boops while talking, film is ruined.

Hmm, pie.

My thoughts exactly.

There are great movies coming out all the time. Why some people only choose to watch Superhero movies, thus sending a message that they want more Superhero movies only to complain about them is beyond me.

As for me, I love Superhero movies and they are much better to watch in cinemas, so I'm happy with them and see no problem here.

As for Tv Shows, that's a pretty weak point. Yes, I prefer them too, but if you compare 3 episodes of a tv show with a movie, then the movie is better made and has a better plot.

Mr. Robot had a great pilot with a ton of questions unanswered. It took it an entire season to sort of make sense. Game of Thrones wasn't that great at first. It was so slow that had it been a movie, people wouldn't have liked it.

Most are comparing entire seasons vs a single movie.

I like character development and get attached to characters. That's why I like series more. But obviously movies don't have that luxury.

Yes. TV series have become really good.
