85 more boys that will now grow up and join Isis out of revenge. Fucking crazy, been dropping bombs on them my whole life and still can't solve the problem. How many more bombs before we realize the shit ain't working.

Yeah pretty much this sort of "mistake" is going to be used as a PR tool by tools to paint the US as a villain when something like this happens, of course even reading the linked article and you'll see that

"Many Isil fighters are still holed up in the city, and are preventing thousands of civilians from leaving, effectively using them as human shields. "

So yeah... Sure the US did kill civilians, but they're civilians who are being held there by terrorists and used as human shields, to put all the blame of this on the US forces is really just weak minded. If you have terrorists who hold these children hostages to use them as shields... how do you try to paint them as the good guys here doing the right things?

Uhh...I never said isis was good in any shape or form(?)

I believe he is referring to the fact that you seem to imply ISIL is fighting because of incidents like this, for the people.  And that's simply untrue, the people they have claimed responsibility for in their "would-be-state" are less than cattle for them.  If they gave a crap about them, they would be escorting them and evacuating them to their inner strongholds. Instead, they are forcing them to stay because they know that collateral damage and civilian deaths are something we are very sensative about, unlike them who have never cared.

ISIL has been in steady decline since mid 2015.  They've been in sharp decline this year with Mosul about to be sieged, Palmyra fallen, Fallujah fallen.  Since their peak in early 2015, they've lost nearly 50% of their territory including key locations.  Mistakes happen, it sucks, but the provided air dominance has clearly helped the Iraqi, Syrian, and Kurdish forces push ISIL back.

isil has been in decline, lets see what radical 'islamic' group the cia will come up with next

want some pot? i made a coffee.

And the cycle of vengeance continues. Somewhere out there, a man is using footage of this incident to tell innocent people that America is at war against them, their way of life and their entire belief system. They will be told that they did nothing to bring this upon them, nor did the 85 dead, but the cowards with their drones and space-age technology will keep bombing them unless they rain hellfire upon their true oppressors. Some will listen. Others will not have to be told this and simply act on their own. And the cycle of vengeance continues.

Break the cycle. Or at the very least, choose to not be a part of it. Let go of hatred and vengeance, and instead condemn it through peaceful means. Do not excuse it. Do not rationalize it. Do not justify it. 85 innocent people are dead, and more will die in retaliation. It is a tragedy for all.

I can see it now. This will be used as a fuel for recruits. Do not underestimate the how people take revenge that seriously over there. This will eventually come back to America.

Nothing is really getting resolved here.

Casualty-wise, this seems comparable to terrorist attacks in western countries. Just thought it could be pointed out.

Mistakes like this shouldn't happen, and the ones responsible for this should be brought to justice. Sadly it won't happen, but no one should be allowed to get away with something like this. I can understand a little collateral damage, as bad as it is, but this is not collateral damage - this is mass murder.

Truly sad.

May Allah have mercy on the dead and give victory to the oppressed.

This is something that will either be:

a) Fobbed off as "Collateral damage" or
b) Justified by the recent Nice attack

There will be a small minority who will call this cowardly act what it is.

People sometimes wonder what causes extremism. If anything makes me want to travel overseas and pick up a gun it is seeing my brothers and sisters being mercilessly slaughtered from every angle!!!

You post as though these civilian deaths were done on purpose.

Mistakes like this shouldn't happen. The fact that these mistakes happen and continue to happen is a sign that they're not taken seriously enough, for one reason or another. To me, it seems that the ones responsible for strikes like this don't value the lives of the people living there enough to take enough care to prevent these mistakes. You can't go killing almost a hundred people by mistake, it's just not justifiable in any practical manner.

This is truly tragic. And whether rightly or wrongly will turn a lot of locals against the US.

Highly doubt "mistaken'. How about never going to other countries, interfering other countries.
