Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Launches "The Play Nintendo Show"

I think it's actually pretty cool. It's like those old children shows, I loved it.

not for me :S

Pretty sure "Play Nintendo" is their kid-targeted branding. They have a section for it on their main website, and yeah.. definitely doesn't seem like something targeted above the 5-10 age demographic.

exactly. for children so it's not that big of a deal

Well to be fair. Back in the 90's there were lots of shit like this and it was the norm. It wasn't exactly "official" stuff by the companies, but their commercials also echoed the trend. This really just takes that and combines it with social media trends like "=3".

To be fair, the same channel has many videos and a number of them are well made despite aiming for a young audience. The video highlighted by the OP just so happens to be a really bad one.

Why people is still treating a channel with 45k subs like it is something official? Is not, the official channels has like 1.8m subs and this video is not there, I dont really know what PlayNintendo is but is certinly aimed to very little kids.

It's designed for kids, so it is, what it is.

Be that as it may, it's a shame this one turned out like it did because other videos from the same YouTube channel also target a young audience and yet they're less cringe-worthy.

This one for example is very well made, funny even: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM4pU7-xJbM

Very true, but I mean, they've got to try all kinds of stuff to intrest the very young and next generation of gamers.

What did I just look at? .-.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

This was very hard to watch. I don't even think kids would enjoy this ADHD filled non-sense. I know this isn't meant for older audiences, but it should still be watchable by adults.
